This program is designed as a pre-employment screening program in which you will both take advantage of an extensive rail systems training program and be given work experience across the diverse fields of rail systems and assurance.   • Perform assignments requiring application of standard techniques, procedures and criteria to carry out tasks for projects in the field of Rail and Transit systems covering: signaling, traction power, communications (Radio, Fiber optics, CCTV, Intercom, Public Announcement), SCADA, Rail Track, Safety Systems Assurance, Systems Integration, and Systems Engineering;
  • Assist with technical design reviews and calculations checks;
  • Coordination with other technicians and related disciplines to produce design deliverables;
  • Assist in the design of power distribution systems;
  • Assistance of senior engineers and designers as and when needed;
  • Contribute to overall needs for project completion;
  • Improve technical communication and report writing skills.

You bring to the role:

  • Your enrollment in Electrical Engineering co-op program from an accredited University;
  • Good academic standing;
  • Interest in rail and transit design as a career;
  • Basic knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D and MicroStation;
  • Extracurricular involvement;
  • Knowledge of or experience in a consultancy environment undertaking infrastructure projects;
