  • Support the team’s research into systematic trading strategies across multiple asset classes (rates, equities, currencies and commodities)
  • Construct monitoring and forecasting tools in order to synthesize various economic and financial data sets
  • Drive the adaptation of data analytic tools and econometric techniques both within and outside the Systematic Strategies Group
  • Apply academic research in a practical setting

QualificationsWho we’re looking forA PhD student with strong skills in data analytics and/or econometric modeling. We prefer a student in the dissertation stage who would like to gain industry experience. The successful candidate will be a strong team player, exhibit creative problem-solving skills, and approach challenging assignments with enthusiasm and intellectual curiosity.Qualifications

  • Pursuing a PhD degree with a specialization in Finance, Mathematical and Computational Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Statistics or related quantitative disciplines- preferably individuals in the dissertation stage of their program who would like to gain industry experience or are curious about the private sector.
  • Experience working with financial and/or economic data
  • Strong programming skills, preferably in Python and SQL.
  • Desire to gain exposure to practical research related to financial markets, portfolio management, portfolio construction and asset pricing
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, intellectual curiosity and ability to learn new concepts
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work in teams
