As a result, you will get to learn, grow, and experiment within different areas of both Scotiabank and Tangerine!Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:Acquisitions and Divestitures
- Analyze financial metrics for targets and comparable companies.
- Conduct in-depth research on the targets/industry related to valuation, shareholder analysis, profitability trends, etc.
- Assist in preparing presentations for Executive discussion/approval.
- Participate in due diligence of potential acquisition targets, which includes analyzing the impact of such transactions on the Bank’s operations, earnings, ROE, and capital.
- Participate in the sale processes, including populating and managing the dataroom
Corporate Restructuring
- Provide support on corporate restructuring initiatives.
- Assist with executing plans to optimize the Bank’s capital allocation strategy, improve the Bank and its subsidiaries’ operating financial, and tax efficiency.
- Complete other projects, as assigned. The group typically takes ad hoc projects concerning a broad range of the Bank’s products and operations.

- You are familiar with basic finance concepts and financial statements.
- You are familiar with financial modelling, Bloomberg, and other research platforms.
- You are proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
