Job description: As a member of our Engineering team, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology in a fully agile environment. You will be expected to raise the quality bar in an already strong and energetic team. Coming up with tools, techniques and approaches that improve the testability of our code. You will also be developing automated tests from the unit level through to the API and even the UI layers, using C#, Javascript and a variety of tools, frameworks and test harnesses. Some manual testing may also be required depending on the nature of the functionality being tested.We are seeking an experienced Associate Software Test Engineer who thinks about how things break as well as how to develop code that works. The ideal candidate will have some programming prowess, Javascript juggling, systems thinking talent, some DB delving deftness, debugging diligence and finishing it all off with some exploratory testing expertise.What You’ll Do:

  • Develop new manual & automated test using test driven approaches
  • Design and develop tools, techniques and utilities to facilitate testing
  • Devise mocks, fakes, stubs etc to improve testability and isolation of code
  • Perform code and unit test reviews with developers
  • Monitor code coverage metrics and report on trends
  • Monitor automated regression testing results and report on trends
  • Maintain existing test automation code
  • You thrive in a team environment and are comfortable working with remote team members across different time zones and geographies
  • Become an expert in the domain of your team

What You’ll Bring

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • 1+ years of software development in test experience
  • Completion of a post-secondary diploma or degree
  • Expertise with:
  • Automation tools (Puppeteer, Playwright, etc)
  • Web and client/server design concepts
  • REST and other types of APIs

In this client-facing role, you will support the engagement and health of communities by executing Alida’s Premier Community Management Program. This involves a variety of projects for clients using Alida’s SaaS platforms within the Managed Services team. Key Responsibilities:

  • Engagement Services: Compose and post engaging content, such as shareback hub posts and newsletters.
