Position: Head Chef

Location: Vancouver, BC

Salary: $60,000 – $65,000 a year

Job Type: Full-time

Our client, a popular and high-end restaurant in the heart of Vancouver, is currently seeking a talented and experienced Head Chef to join their team.

Responsibilities:
– Oversee the entire kitchen operation, including menu planning, food preparation, and cooking
– Manage all kitchen staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling
– Ensure food quality and presentation meet high standards
– Control food costs and maintain kitchen inventory
– Adhere to health and safety regulations
– Develop new menu items and seasonal specials
– Collaborate with the restaurant management team to achieve overall business goals

Qualifications:
– 5+ years of experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef in a high-volume, upscale restaurant
– Culinary degree or certification is preferred
– Strong leadership and team management skills
– Excellent communication and organizational abilities
– Knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines
