As a Content Writer for My Telecom, you’ll play a key role in creating seamless digital experiences for our customers through thoughtful and consistent interface content. Application of plain language comes easy to you. As a natural storyteller and conversation designer, you’ll help drive our content discipline forward with product teams within Telecom.

In your role, you’ll be responsible for ensuring that our written communications are clear, relevant, and jargon-free – and most importantly, matches the Telecombrand voice and tone. Our content writers pair with our content strategists to provide teams with great content, along with demonstrating industry expertise so that our content practice scales faster.

You’ll help the team deliver a customer-first experience by crafting UX copy that helps customers complete the task at hand. You choose clarity over creativity.

Along with representing our content interests within Telecom, you know what it takes to deliver a great omnichannel experience. To help you execute, you’ll lean on our teams in design & user experience, development, testing, analytics, and marketing.

Here’s how
Write, proofread and edit customer experience content for Telecom assets
Strive for clarity over creativity
Create content to help our customers achieve a goal or complete a task
Work with content strategists, leads and designers to develop digital experiences at all stages of the customer journey
Create content that is thoughtful, consistent and conveys the brand voice while shaping the product experience
Independently translate copy from English to French while retaining the spirit of intent/ meaning
Uses data to help inform good content decisions for our customers
Contributes to the overall practice culture by sharing learnings and knowledge with peers
Advocate of the practice by building strong relationships with Telecom team members
You’re the missing piece of the puzzle
Digital content writer with experience working with user experience, strategy & design teams
Post-secondary education
Have a body of work that demonstrates a depth of skill of writing digital copy in English and French
Familiarity with content management systems and editing tools
Knowledge of information architecture principles
Be someone who can gracefully give and receive feedback
Familiarity with content writing best practices, user experience and SEO
Hyper-focused on delivering great customer experiences aligned with business outcomes
Passionate about modern content practices and methodologies
Well-versed in lean digital product development lifecycles
Adept at working in a highly-collaborative, lean, agile environment
Highly detail-oriented and organized, with exceptional analytical skills
Understand the importance of creating accessible content and how that applies to WCAG 2.0 AA principles
Qualifications:
Must to have skills: (please at least 3 skills/exp):
1.Bilingual French/English Writing
2 2-3 Years of Previous UX Technical Content Writing experience
3. Knowledge of Accessibility Standards

Nice to have skills: (please at least 3 skills/exp):
1. CMS experience (We use Contentful, but any CMS is nice to have)
2. SEO Experience
3. Agile Experience

  • Support Realize Team members with the creation of presentations, Powerpoint’s, and all material related to Realize brand engagement
  • Support the development and maintenance of relevant databases as identified by the Manager, Program Support or Program Leads

Project Coordination

  • Prepare reports as directed by the Manager, Program Support or Program Leads
  • Disseminate project information to stakeholders as directed

Qualifications A University degree in marketing, sales, communications, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of experience in an administrative assistant/support capacity, preferably in the tourism, hospitality or entertainment sectors. Previous marketing or public relations experience. Experience managing media plans and budgets. Able to work in a team environment as well as independently. Strong research and organizational skills. Experience managing, monitoring and updating websites and social media platforms an asset Advanced skills in the MS Office environment, specifically PowerPoint (employee must be able to build superior and complex PowerPoint presentations) Bilingualism (English/French) required. Working Conditions Able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines, conflicting demands, frequent interruptions, and heavy work loads. Working in an office environment.
