  • Perform preventive maintenance and emergency repairs of transfer and vacuum pumps.
  • Prepare job material lists and perform job costing.
  • Assist other maintenance personnel as necessary.
  • Attend outside training courses as required in order to maintain or enhance technical skills.
  • Work with engineering personnel on capital/expense projects, supplying costs, material lists, provide input to determine proper lay-out, provide information in the selection of equipment for SC Johnson (i.e. pumps, valves, controllers, etc. to maintain consistent suppliers).
  • Ensure all work is performed in a safe manner, paying special attention to hazards to which production personnel may be susceptible. Maintain good housekeeping in areas of work.
  • Perform job responsibilities in such a manner as to contribute to a team effort within the department, assisting fellow employees in achieving the overall daily objectives of the work group.
  • Assist in the installation of new filling and transfer equipment. After installation, set up equipment and ensure it meets standard performance.
  • Provide direction and training where required to production personnel to assist operators in the proper use of pumps and transfer equipment.
  • Perform maintenance work (rebuilds, etc.) requiring advanced technical skills. Troubleshoot problems outside the normal skill level.

  • Licensed Plumber with 306A ticket
