Job Description
The Assistant Manager is an experienced professional who supports the General Manager in the day-to-day operations of the business. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously.
Responsibilities:
– Assist the General Manager in managing daily operations, including overseeing staff, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining the quality of products and services
– Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage vendor relationships to ensure adequate stock
– Schedule and supervise staff, ensuring that all team members adhere to company policies and procedures
– Assist in developing and implementing strategies to increase sales and revenue
– Handle customer inquiries and complaints in a professional and timely manner
– Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
– Assist in recruiting, training, and evaluating staff, providing feedback and guidance as needed
– Collaborate with the General Manager to develop and implement business plans and budgets
– Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field
– Proven experience in a supervisory or management role within the retail industry
– Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
– Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
– Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
– Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
– Knowledge of inventory management and purchasing practices
– Familiarity with health and safety regulations
– Flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as needed
