Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled Welder to cut and join metals and other materials at our facilities or construction sites. You will operate appropriate equipment to put together mechanical structures or parts with a great deal of precision. Your job is important as it provides the foundation for strong infrastructure.
A welder must be competent in using potentially dangerous equipment following all safety precautions. The ideal candidate will also have a steady hand and great attention to detail. Knowledge of different kinds of metal and their properties is essential.
Responsibilities:
– Read blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures
– Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements
– Set up components for welding according to specifications (e.g. cut material with powered saws to match measurements)
– Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded
– Align components using calipers, rulers etc. and clamp pieces
– Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal or overhead)
– Repair machinery and other components by welding pieces and filling gaps
– Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws
– Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety
Requirements:
– Proven experience as a welder
– Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures (TIG, MMA etc.)
– Experience in using electrical or manual tools (saws, squares, calipers etc.)
– Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
– Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves etc.)

À ce poste, où vous travaillerez sous la supervision et la direction d’un ou de plusieurs premiers réalisateurs, vous devrez concevoir, proposer et développer de nouvelles séries de balados d’enquête, et vous charger de la planification, de l’organisation et de la supervision de leur production. Vous êtes une ou un journaliste chevronné, doté d’aptitudes exceptionnelles pour la pensée critique et du souci du détail. Vous comprenez parfaitement les besoins des différents genres de balados, et avez de l’expérience dans l’écriture et la production de récits de longue durée. Vous faites preuve d’excellentes aptitudes pour la rédaction, la recherche d’invités et le montage audio, et vous avez une bonne oreille pour la création de reportages audio. Vous devez aussi avoir démontré votre capacité à gérer plusieurs projets de front en respectant de multiples échéances. Vous savez exprimer votre créativité, et vous avez le sens de l’initiative, de solides aptitudes pour livrer des histoires et un bon jugement personnel. Finalement, vous devez connaître parfaitement les Normes et pratiques journalistiques de CBC/Radio-Canada, et avoir une bonne expérience du domaine de la baladodiffusion, ainsi qu’un intérêt marqué pour ce médium.

- Vous êtes un ou une leader expérimentée et efficace. Vous avez la capacité de gérer une équipe, notamment des réalisateurs associés, des animateurs et des mixeurs, tout en tenant les gestionnaires informés et en vous assurant que les préoccupations, les notes et les rétroactions sont prises en compte;
- Vous êtes un ou une journaliste d’expérience, avec d’excellentes compétences pour la recherche, le repérage d’invités et les interviews, et vous connaissez bien les Normes et pratiques de CBC/Radio-Canada;
- Vous maîtrisez le montage de contenu audio, tout comme le choix du contenu à utiliser. Vous avez une approche pratique de l’enregistrement audio. Vous savez choisir les meilleurs extraits et les monter avec facilité et assurance;
- Vous excellez à la rédaction et à la révision de scripts pour le contenu audio. Vous avez de l’expérience dans la rédaction de contenus audio et pouvez aisément améliorer la clarté et la cohérence des scripts. Idéalement, vous savez aussi comment raconter des histoires compliquées, notamment des histoires en plusieurs épisodes, de façon efficace et convaincante;
- Vous avez le sens de ce qui doit être enregistré, qu’il s’agisse de contenu d’archives, d’enregistrement sur le terrain, d’interviews en studio ou encore de la direction de séances de synchronisation;
- Vous savez superviser les processus et l’utilisation des ressources de production, ce qui peut inclure l’enregistrement sur le terrain, les interviews en studio, la direction des talents, la rédaction de scripts, le montage et le mixage;
- Vous avez le sens de l’organisation. Il peut s’agir du chargement ou du suivi d’enregistrements, de l’organisation d’interviews et de séances d’enregistrement, ou du respect des échéances à court et à long terme pour la préparation des scripts et des mixages;
- Vous faites preuve de créativité. Qu’il s’agisse de résoudre un problème sur le terrain, d’adopter la meilleure manière de raconter une histoire, ou encore de trouver des manières originales d’utiliser les documents d’archives, vous abordez votre travail de façon novatrice;
- Vous avez un excellent esprit d’équipe. La baladodiffusion est un sport d’équipe. À ce poste, vous travaillerez avec des réalisateurs associés, des animateurs, des responsables du mixage et des gestionnaires, et vous assurerez la coordination et la supervision du travail des personnes contribuant à votre émission;
- Vous êtes un ou une adepte des balados. La baladoffusion est un secteur relativement nouveau et en constante évolution. Vous écoutez régulièrement des balados en y prêtant une grande attention et une oreille critique, et vous connaissez parfaitement les derniers sujets et les techniques adoptées dans les balados qui sont salués par la critique et se retrouvent en tête des classements.
- Un minimum de cinq (5) ans d’expérience en journalisme audio et en baladoffusion, notamment en direction d’artistes;
- Excellente compréhension de la mission et de la programmation de CBC Podcasts;
- Capacité de structurer une histoire ou une série audio de façon originale pour les rendre captivantes, et ce, tant du point de vue journalistique que technique;
- Expérience dans la réalisation de séries audio de journalisme d’enquête;
- Capacité d’évaluer votre propre travail d’un œil critique afin de produire d’excellents résultats;
- Capacité démontrée d’écouter du contenu audio brut, et de repérer les détails essentiels et les moments forts qui composeront l’histoire;
- Excellent jugement journalistique et compréhension des Normes et pratiques journalistiques de CBC/Radio-Canada;
- Capacité de gérer de front plusieurs projets, et de superviser des réalisateurs associés, des stagiaires et les responsables de la transcription;
- Excellentes compétences en rédaction et capacité de rendre une variété de voix et de tons;
- Capacité reconnue de réaliser des interviews, et de préparer les questions et le matériel requis;
- Expérience de vie, expertise ou points de vue distincts qui enrichiront l’équipe et notre contenu;
- Grande sensibilité culturelle et reconnaissance de la diversité des points de vue, des opinions et des expériences;
- Maîtrise supérieure des logiciels de montage audio et de conception sonore comme Audition, Pro Tools et Dalet;
