  • Become a trusted advisor with assigned Electrical Contractors across several market segments to influence and guide the design of medium and large, complex electrical distribution.

  • Must have skills to help train new employees, apprentices, etc., in the area on day to day operations plus and on the procedures for operating electrical test, maintenance and installation equipment not requiring third party approvals.
  • Must be able to communicate written and verbal instructions to subordinates

Health and Safety:

  • Having the authority and responsibility to maintain a safe and efficient working environment
  • Following Redpath Canada Limited health and safety standards and systems, including the Five Point Safety System and the Cardinal Rules, and reporting any unsafe acts or conditions
  • Responsible to ensure proper use and maintenance of personal protective equipment required in the performance of the work.
  • Must have knowledge of the WHMIS legislation and know how to effectively use an MSDS sheet.

Comply with the Act and Mining Regulations that apply to the work area.Qualifications:Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Journeyman electrician’s certificate (Red Seal) and provincial license as required

Work Experience:

  • Experience in the installation of low, medium, and high voltage installation and repairs
  • 2- 3 years underground experience an asset

Knowledge Required

  • Ability to multi task and work effectively
  • Ability to work efficiently as part of a team as well as independently
  • Electrical installations, troubleshooting, construction and maintenance skills.
  • Ability to supervise skilled and non-skilled workers
