About Us:
We’re looking for a talented Graphic Designer who excels in both branding and packaging design. This is for a food CPG client that is undergoing an exciting rebrand and needs to translate their new look & feel across multiple product lines. This role requires a deep understanding of CPG aesthetics, with the ability to balance creative innovation with strategic design principles. You’ll work across a variety of projects, from designing packaging that grabs attention on the shelf to building out our client’s new brand guidelines that reinforce their new brand identity across digital and print channels. This is a remote, 3+ month contract, approx. 20-30 hrs/week, with the high likelihood for an extension.Key Responsibilities:
- Conceptualize and design innovative packaging for our client’s product lines, ensuring designs are visually impactful and in line with existing artwork and the new brand identity.
- Refresh existing packaging designs and product manuals to align with the new brand identity and younger consumer trends.
- Collaborate with the product and marketing teams to ensure packaging reflects brand values and appeals to target younger millennial consumers.
- Develop the new brand guidelines to ensure adherence across projects. Their current mini brand guide will be provided.
- Stay up-to-date on design trends, especially in the food CPG space, to ensure our client’s branding and packaging remain fresh and competitive.
- Bring innovative ideas to packaging and branding that set our client’s products apart.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of graphic design experience in the food CPG space.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign). Experience with 3D mockup tools is a plus.
- Strong understanding of the nuances of packaging production processes, including dielines, print specifications, and material options.
- Exceptional design sense, with an eye for detail, typography, and colour.
- Previous experience building out a brand guidelines document.
- Ability to develop innovative designs that resonate with target consumers and align with brand goals.
- Strong collaborative and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
