  • Work closely with senior FIMS Professionals to support Hamilton Lane’s existing SMA client base in Canada. Key portfolio/client responsibilities include:
  • Assist in the development of Strategic Planning
  • Modelling Portfolio Construction and Pacing scenarios
  • Act as a conduit between our clients and broader Hamilton Lane organization
  • Navigate internal organizational dynamics, leveraging cross-functional approach to support our clients
  • Learn and maintain a working knowledge of HL technology tools to aggregate and present information needed for client deliverables including:
  • Assist in the creation and reviewing of presentation materials for SMA clients and prospects
  • Develop expertise in HL transaction offerings to support investment objectives for our clients
  • Presenting and meeting with HL SMA clients on a regular basis – both remote and in-person
  • Act as key diligence person for Primary Fund investments. Key diligence responsibilities include:
  • Serving as Deal Captain on Primary Fund investment diligence
  • Managing junior deal team members
  • Co-leading site visit meetings with prospective GPs
  • Meeting/understanding Canadian GP landscape across Private Equity and Private Credit
  • Support growth of HL Canada
  • Support senior Client Solutions professionals in Toronto office on SMA related business development efforts, including but not limited to: RFP responses, internal coordination, presentation development, meetings, etc.
  • Managing dedicated junior FIMS professionals
  • Maintaining up-to-date record keeping of all sales oriented interactions in DealCloud

Your background will include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Fluent in English
  • 4+ years’ experience in financial services, with an emphasis on private markets
  • Familiarity with Canadian institutional LP landscape
  • Good understanding of capital structures, different financial instruments and basic portfolio construction
  • Strong quantitative/analytical skills (data analysis, numerical skills, problem solving etc.)
  • Experience with Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point)
