Student will assist in establishing and commissioning of a heat transfer rig. Student will be involved in making heat transfer measurements through thermography and post process the results to make meaningful inferences. Student will have work with the aerothermal engineers and the facility crew to ensure the rig runs smoothly and assist in characterizing and validating the rig. The purpose of the assignment is to determine if nozzle temperatures could be predicted using CFD/CHT analysis.
