  • Dry mop, wet mop (wash/scrub) and polish hard surface floors. The washing/scrubbing of floors is done with handheld or walk-behind buffing machines.
  • Strip and finish hard surface floors manually or with power equipment when required
  • Transport garbage from drop points to garbage bins or compactor; operate the compactor and be responsible for cleaning the compactor on regular basis
  • Transport maintenance machinery, where necessary, between floors and job sites
  • Clean glass areas requiring ladders, scaffolding or other extension equipment to reach
  • Clean washroom floors including washing, stripping, and finishing
  • Clean stairwells and elevator cabs where ladders are required
  • Wash walls, ceilings and dust ceiling light fixtures and ceiling fans
  • Use pile lifting equipment to restore certain types of carpet
  • Shampoo broadloom and uses extracting equipment to clean broadloom
  • Comply with H&S regulations and company policies

  • Previous cleaning/housekeeping experience is required

This position is based at multiple locations across Canada., primarily servicing surface drills used in open-pit mining operations.Duties and Responsibilities

  • Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair surface drills and related heavy equipment used in mining and construction.
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical. systems on rotary, percussion, and DTH (Down the Hole) surface drills.
  • Conduct transmission, drive-train, and engine repairs, including replacing components and performing system diagnostics.
  • Utilize computerized and other testing equipment to determine faults and necessary repairs.
  • Read and interpret service manuals, work orders, and schematics to determine required procedures.
  • Carry out both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and repair tasks.
  • Perform preventative maintenance to maximize equipment uptime and minimize breakdowns.
  • Ensure proper documentation of service work, including detailed reports on repairs performed.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Collaborate with site supervisors, mechanics, and other team members to ensure operational efficiency.

Job RequirementsExperience & Certifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of recent experience as a Drill Mechanic, preferably working out of a service truck in mining or heavy construction environments.
  • Journeyman Heavy Duty Off-Road Technician or equivalent certification required.
  • Experience with off-road mobile mining and construction equipment with varied brands and models will be considered an asset.
  • Red Seal certification required.
  • Strong experience with surface drill brands such as Epiroc, Sandvik, Atlas Copco, Komatsu, and Caterpillar,
  • Extensive knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems on surface drills.
  • Ability to read hydraulic and electrical schematics to troubleshoot complex issues.

Technical Skills:

  • Solid experience diagnosing and troubleshooting surface drill components.
  • Strong electrical and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to work professionally with co-workers and customers.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

  • Must be willing to work in an alcohol and drug-free camp environment.
  • Physically fit – ability to lift 50 lbs. comfortably.
  • Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions and environments.
  • Comfortable working long shifts in remote locations.
