What is the opportunity?
In this role, you will build and own a product vision, define the scope, gather detailed requirements, manage prioritization, and ensure features and capabilities are built to specification.
You will work closely with the stakeholders, design, development and other teams to build a clear product roadmap and monitor feedback and evaluate value creation.
You will work on a variety of short and long-term projects to address business needs and continually improve our offering and capabilities.
This role is an ideal opportunity for someone with an entrepreneurial or product ownership / marketing mindset, securities trading knowledge and experience, who is excited to stay on top of industry trends and understanding changing user needs.
What will you do?
Collaborate on the technical and strategy roadmaps to implement new trading capabilities and user experiences
Manage the product life cycle from conception through release and beyond by collaborating with developers, product management, operations, and other teams
Work in an Agile environment and continuously review the business needs, define priorities, outline milestones and deliverables, and identify opportunities and risks
Translate product roadmap into well-defined product requirements including features, designs, user stories, and acceptance test criteria
Prioritize and maintain the product backlog, balancing the requirements and inputs of multiple stakeholders
Work closely with the technical development manager to lead the product functional design process based on an intimate knowledge of the users and technology
Conduct competitive intelligence and gather industry and trend insights
Assist partners to establish KPIs and OKRs that are suitable stretch goals and ensure that they can be measured and adjusted as needed
What do you need to succeed?
Must have:
5+ years of product management experience or relevant finance domain-specific experience
Prior Digital experience would be an asset or demonstrated leadership in innovation.
Executive presence and a thought leader able to influence and advocate for their views/ideas.
Exceedingly good communication skills and ability to initiate decisions and discussions without much guidance.
Thriving in an environment of ambiguity and constant change
Resourceful problem solving to help deliver critical initiatives for our business and clients.
Strong story-telling acumen to create powerful, detailed insights that support data-driven decision making, and convert insights into tangible benefits to the business.
Strong team player, who can roll up their sleeves when required, and is able to lead and influence product conversations.
