Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for processing invoices, reconciling vendor statements, and ensuring timely payments to vendors. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
– Process invoices and reconcile with purchase orders
– Review and verify invoices for accuracy and resolve discrepancies
– Prepare and process vendor payments in a timely manner
– Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any outstanding issues
– Assist with month-end closing procedures
– Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounts payable records
– Communicate with vendors regarding payment inquiries
– Adhere to company policies and procedures related to accounts payable
Qualifications:
– 2+ years of experience in accounts payable or similar role
– Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software
– Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
– Knowledge of basic accounting principles
– Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred
