As Senior Analyst – Growth Insights, you will drive cross business customer retention, acquisition, and engagement by using your knowledge in advanced analytics to develop statistical analysis, derive actionable insights and deliver accurate reporting from customer data. You’ll work collaboratively, leveraging your experience in product analytics, lifecycle marketing, and business process to deliver the high-impact customer insights and recommendations that will grow our business. What you’ll do

  • Support the strategy, development, execution, and measurement of data-driven marketing campaigns, personalization initiatives and product launches in multiple digital channels across a variety of businesses
  • Leverage a diverse set of technical tools to derive deep and actionable insights from transactional, digital, and loyalty data to inform customer growth strategies
  • Deep dive into customer data across a large number of owned & digital channels to support and drive growth product planning
  • Scope, develop, and maintain analytical dashboards & reports that contain actionable metrics to monitor business performance and inform strategic decision-making
  • Partner with external teams to help guide, develop, and build predictive models that contribute to customer growth strategy
  • Forecast, track, and analyze experiment performance to maximize digital conversions and incremental opportunities
  • Automate and scale processes to improve analytical throughput
  • Be a part of an agile growth analytics team with regular sprint cycles and ceremonies

Does this sound like you?

  • Undergraduate degree in a technical discipline (Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, etc.) or related experience in a technical field
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in an analytical role and proven ability to work with relevant tools (SQL, Excel, BigQuery, Python/R, Snowplow/Omniture/GA etc.)
  • Ability to generate meaningful customer insights from large volumes of complex data (particularly raw event logs, product data)
  • Experience using data analysis and modeling to better understand customer mindsets using transactional and behavioural data sets
  • Proven experience owning and/or contributing to advanced analytics projects and models (ex. attribution & propensity modeling, decision trees, segmentation, time series analysis etc.)
  • Comfortable building compelling dashboards with data visualization tools (Looker, Data Studio, PowerBI, Tableau or similar)
  • Previous experience working with digital analytics data to understand customer journey and derive actionable insights for business planning
  • Hands-on experience with statistical analysis (Experimental Design, Hypothesis Testing, ANOVA, GLM, etc.)
  • Naturally curious, always looking for the ‘why’ and not afraid to dive deep to get answers
  • Effective communication skills, and collaborative mindset
  • Experience with automation of processes or working with data pipelines is an asset
  • Experience in retail analytics (CRM (Customer Relationship Management), Loyalty, etc.) is an asset

Evaluates the framework against leading practice. Supports the Sr. Manager in disseminating the framework across Marketing Brand teams, Loblaw Agency, and Loblaw Media.
  • Reporting Dashboards & Templates: Supports the development of reporting dashboards and templates based on priorities; gathers inputs, maintains, and updates dashboards and metrics for Marketing team
  • Upskilling & Change Management: Supports the Sr. Manger in developing, coordinating and delivering programs to upskill Marketing teams in productivity, insights and analytics capabilities
  • Optimization, Innovation & Best Practices: Works with partners to compile campaign performance reports with key metrics, highlight trends and areas for optimization, and provide insights to Brand teams for post-mortem discussions.
