In this contract opportunity you will serve as the conduit between the customer community and the delivery team through which requirements flow. This role will require weekly onsite work in Barrie, ON.A Day in the Life:
- Participate in business needs discussions with Long View clients, laying the foundation for new opportunities to satisfy those business needs
- Elicit, capture, and complete analysis on business needs to ensure that the requirements can be effectively placed in appropriate categories supporting Cloud, Security, Microsoft suite, Business and Digital transformation solutions
- Analyze business processes used within and between lines of business and recommend technology or process changes that would eliminate unnecessary processes, improve department efficiency and effectiveness, and improve information flow
- Ensure requirements traceability and requirements status throughout the full project lifecycle
- Manage changes to baselined requirements through effective application of change control processes and tools
- Establish, implement, use and continuously improve effective requirements practices
- Implement ways to reuse requirements across projects
- Ensure requirement statements are complete, consistent, concise, comprehensible, traceable, feasible, unambiguous, and verifiable
- Participate in peer reviews and inspections of requirements document and work products derived from requirements specifications to ensure that the requirements were interpreted correctly
- Ensure satisfactory transfer of all deliverables to project owner(s) upon project completion
- Assist with pre-sales engagements and qualification of sales opportunities
What You Bring:
- A minimum of 7 years of professional services experience across a wide range of technologies including enterprise systems, end user, network, security, and cloud offerings
- Deep understanding of ITIL principles and industry frameworks
- Understanding of IT Security principles and frameworks and M365 suite of products
- Experience in digital and business transformation projects and understanding of how end users are impacted by these engagements
- Organizational Change Management (OCM) knowledge to contribute to end user adoption techniques implementation
- Ability to differentiate between business rules and requirements to ensure clarity of business in solicitation sessions and all documentation
- Experience in requirements elicitation techniques, including workshops, interviews, brainstorming, prototyping and observation
- Listening skills, to understand what people say and to detect what they might be hesitant to say
- Analytical skills, to critically evaluate the information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a more general understanding, distinguish presented user requests from the underlying true needs, and distinguish solution ideas from requirements
- Writing skills, to communicate information effectively to clients, marketing, managers, and technical staff
- Interpersonal skills, to help negotiate priorities and to resolve conflicts among project stakeholders
- Modeling skills, to represent requirements information in graphical forms that augment textual representations in natural language

– Excellent communication and presentation skills

– Experience in data visualization, machine learning, and statistical analysis is a plus
