About the Role:
Q107 and 102.1 The Edge are looking for a part-time Street Team Member to join their team. Reporting to the Promotions Coordinator, the successful candidate would be responsible for representing the station in promotions and live on-location broadcasts, interacting with clients and the general public, activation of on-site events, and creating fun, memorable experiences for our listeners. This role involves a variety of shifts including weeknights, weekends, early mornings, and holidays. If you are passionate about music, pop culture, sports, current events and the city you live in, then we are looking for you to join our team!
You will contribute by:

  • Representing our radio stations and executing station appearances on the street, at events, concerts, festivals, parades, client locations, etc.
  • Setting up and tearing down of station equipment and signage at events.
  • Interacting with listeners and clients/sponsors, running contests, administering prizes, and promoting products and services.
  • Engaging with listeners and making them remember you. You’re approachable and love talking to strangers!
  • Posting and interacting on Social Media Platforms (i.e. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, etc.).
  • Assisting the digital team by sharing Corus content across social media and creating/shooting video.
  • Technical Engineering of on location sales and programming remotes.
  • Hosting and emceeing of station events in front of large crowds.
  • Documenting all event activities and details.
  • Driving the station vehicles around the Toronto area and to community events.
  • Basic maintenance and upkeep of station vehicles and equipment.
  • Internal office assistance as required.

Skills and experience you will bring:

  • Post-secondary education in Radio Broadcasting, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • A love for radio goes a long way – broadcast students are encouraged to apply.
  • Previous promotional, social media, and/or street team experience is an asset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A valid Class G driver’s license with a clean driving record required.
  • Ability to work well under minimal supervision.
  • Able to lift and carry equipment as required.

  • Knowledge of our stations and their audiences is an asset.
  • Ability to learn basic technical engineering.

  • Ability to work both independently and within a team.

Reporting to Director, Marketing & International, Universal Music Canada is seeking an experienced International Marketing Manager to join our Marketing team. As a Marketing Manager, International you will oversee and direct all aspects of marketing across domestic artist campaigns, partnering with our labels, managers and artists to develop international marketing campaigns that strategize the best course to market for their releases.


Responsibilities
  • Oversee all aspects of international marketing, project and product management for a roster of domestic artists
  • Create and manage marketing plans in conjunction with local label strategies outside of Canada. This includes awareness of different markets music culture, knowledge of regional and national print media, TV and radio programming, commerce impacts and communicating with local label reps on a regular basis.
  • Explore new digital platforms to develop relationships to maximize audience reach and build artist profile in Canada and globally
  • Consult with Marketing, A&R, Promotion, Creative, Digital Strategy, E-Commerce, and Publicity teams on rollout plans to maximize opportunities and exposure for each artist project
  • Build and manage smart marketing budgets that help deliver maximum visibility while also focusing on the highest return of investment
  • Manage international artist promotions, including: coordination of print media, TV shows, and radio appearances. Travel to various markets to work with artists and local reps responsible for press and other activities on the ground. Includes making sure that schedules are efficient and effective, radio and TV productions are up to par with requirements made by artist, and that local marketing initiatives have been properly rolled out ahead of trips.
  • Understand and leverage user engagement and marketing opportunities on digital platforms such as YouTube, VEVO, Instagram, Twitter, Tik Tok and more
  • Identify viral, digital, and word-of-mouth marketing opportunities with the goal of driving traffic to artist profiles across DSPs, fan acquisition, and building brand awareness for artists
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to build and support artists’ brands
  • Oversee the execution of artist international commercial and promotional releases (photos and videos, content for social platforms, advertising assets, logos, website, street marketing tools, alternative song mixes, international specific credits and artwork and creating special packages.)
  • Continually evaluate consumer response data including streaming, radio, media and artist socials in order to make informed marketing decisions, staying proactive with appropriately designed campaigns
  • Know how to query and speak to specific data points that are meaningful to partner account relations and artist/manager expectations
  • Work cross-functionally across all departments and with artist management
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities
