What is the opportunity?

Ampli, one of Canada’s newest cashback apps, is hiring a Director of Marketing to lead its marketing team. As Ampli’s head of marketing, you will lead the development and expert execution of high-impact marketing plans to aggressively grow Ampli’s user base as well as drive engagement with the existing members. You will bring thought leadership, data-based planning expertise, creative innovation and a collaborative approach that will drive to impact, and deliver on significant growth targets. Through partnership, coordination, and innovation, you will lead and be personally accountable for the design, delivery, and execution of marketing plans across integrated channels to grow the Ampli business. You will provide insight, advice, and leadership to a team of marketers, ensuring their high performance and effectiveness.


What will you do?

  • Lead and develop a team of high-performing marketers; inspire, motivate and coach for success, while ensuring executional excellence.
  • Implement, manage and improve KPI’s across all acquisition and engagement channels to meet quarterly targets while maintaining effective management of the budget
  • Work closely with analytics and data science teams to monitor campaigns against KPIs and use this data to launch experiments and provide data driven insights to evolve a digital marketing strategy
  • Partner with product, business development and customer support teams to continue to dive into customer insights to inform and improve conversion funnels
  • Collaborate with cross-functional leads, along with internal business partners at RBC and RBC Ventures to fuel integration, and translate business needs and emerging priorities into marketing strategies and go-to-market plans for Ampli and our merchants.
  • Champion a best-in-class CRM strategy to deepen engagement with Ampli users
  • Build and scale paid marketing across all existing platforms including Facebook, Google, Display, Programmatic and TV
  • Oversee end-to-end management of Ampli marketing budgets, including monthly & quarterly re-forecasting, tracking, reconciliation, stakeholder updates.


What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • 8+ years of marketing experience with a strong focus on direct and digital, including experience in a strategic leadership capacity
  • Expertise across all marketing disciplines, with depth of experience in digital/acquisition, forecasting & reporting on results
  • People management experience, including leading multiple direct reports and layered teams
  • Proven success developing full-funnel marketing strategies, and building, delivering, and quantifying go-to-market plans
  • Experience managing multiple stakeholders in a matrixed organization
  • Experience in analytical tools and a deep understanding of how to access, use and present data to drive marketing plans

What will you do?

  • Work closely with our internal Copywriter to map out written content deliverables and manage timelines.
  • Own our SEO strategy and work closely with an external agency on SEO optimization.
  • Own our customer facing website and blog, work with an external agency to ensure our content remains relevant and proper visitor tracking is implemented.
  • Manage the development of our social media strategy and execution.
  • Expand our content strategy into new channels (i.e. video) and formats (i.e. infographics.)
  • Continually analyze and report on the success of content and use data to drive decision making.
  • Quarterly planning, budget, and projections for content related initiatives.
  • Work collaboratively and effectively with multiple Dr. Bill stakeholders.


What do you need to succeed?


Must-have

  • 5+ years of marketing experience, primarily focused on content creation and distribution. Experience building successful content strategies and track record of driving customer engagement.
  • Post-secondary education in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or equivalent training.
  • Strong understanding of SEO best practices with regards to content marketing.
  • A track record of creating social media engagement experiences and funnel-based content marketing. Experience building online communities is an asset.
  • Experience with appropriate SaaS tools (Google Analytics, Intercom, Asana, Confluence, etc.).
  • Very familiar and adept with content management systems.

  • Manage and report on budget and pacing, identify gaps in the media activation process and collaborate with colleagues & business leaders of all experience levels
  • Identify and create paid digital campaigns backed with rationale, supported with data
  • Brief strategic design partners on how to take campaign ideas to the next level while handling the ability to lightly modify creative within the Adobe Suite & Figma

What will you do?

  • Lead our demand generation function, including developing and executing strategic campaigns to achieve our KPI’s at every stage in the marketing funnel.
  • Own performance reporting and campaign measurement. Working with your analytical partners you’ll set-up campaign tracking, measure results, and communicate marketing performance to the broader Dr. Bill organization.
  • Set up, execute tests, collect and analyze data, identify trends and insights to achieve maximum ROI across all marketing channels (SEM, Paid Media, Email, etc).
  • Liaise with and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders for marketing campaign execution, as necessary.
  • Actively share information, insights and implications across Marketing and Business partner teams to ensure timely discussion and resolution.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • 5+ years of marketing/demand generation experience with emphasis on digital, social, SEM, and email marketing.
  • Post-secondary education in marketing or another related field.
  • Experience building and executing email campaigns and managing a customer workflow and database. In-depth HubSpot experience is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of digital paid media and best practices to deliver marketing objectives.
  • Experience with appropriate SaaS tools (Google Analytics, Intercom, Asana, Confluence, etc.).
  • Experience analyzing/reporting data using tools such as Amplitude/Mixpanel, Chartio/Metabase/Tableau, and Google Analytics.
  • Strong ability to work in a collaborative, supportive way across the organization but also comfortable working independently and without structure to achieve results.

What is the opportunity?

Ampli, one of Canada’s newest cashback apps, is hiring a Director of Marketing to lead its marketing team. As Ampli’s head of marketing, you will lead the development and expert execution of high-impact marketing plans to aggressively grow Ampli’s user base as well as drive engagement with the existing members. You will bring thought leadership, data-based planning expertise, creative innovation and a collaborative approach that will drive to impact, and deliver on significant growth targets. Through partnership, coordination, and innovation, you will lead and be personally accountable for the design, delivery, and execution of marketing plans across integrated channels to grow the Ampli business. You will provide insight, advice, and leadership to a team of marketers, ensuring their high performance and effectiveness.

What will you do?

  • Lead and develop a team of high-performing marketers; inspire, motivate and coach for success, while ensuring executional excellence.
  • Implement, manage and improve KPI’s across all acquisition and engagement channels to meet quarterly targets while maintaining effective management of the budget
  • Work closely with analytics and data science teams to monitor campaigns against KPIs and use this data to launch experiments and provide data driven insights to evolve a digital marketing strategy
  • Partner with product, business development and customer support teams to continue to dive into customer insights to inform and improve conversion funnels
  • Collaborate with cross-functional leads, along with internal business partners at RBC and RBC Ventures to fuel integration, and translate business needs and emerging priorities into marketing strategies and go-to-market plans for Ampli and our merchants.
  • Champion a best-in-class CRM strategy to deepen engagement with Ampli users
  • Build and scale paid marketing across all existing platforms including Facebook, Google, Display, Programmatic and TV
  • Oversee end-to-end management of Ampli marketing budgets, including monthly & quarterly re-forecasting, tracking, reconciliation, stakeholder updates.

What do you need to succeed?

  • 8+ years of marketing experience with a strong focus on direct and digital, including experience in a strategic leadership capacity
  • Expertise across all marketing disciplines, with depth of experience in digital/acquisition, forecasting & reporting on results
  • People management experience, including leading multiple direct reports and layered teams
  • Proven success developing full-funnel marketing strategies, and building, delivering, and quantifying go-to-market plans
  • Experience managing multiple stakeholders in a matrixed organization
  • Experience in analytical tools and a deep understanding of how to access, use and present data to drive marketing plans

Nice-to-have

  • A creative eye combined with a keen attention to detail; be bold and challenge status quo
  • Comfortable with innovation, new technologies and platforms – in a fast-paced environment
