Become a maker of possible with us.This onsite Service Repair Intern role based in our Mississauga offices, will be primarily responsible for analyzing and/or repairing products MMS products such as Infusion Pumps. You’ll be also providing support on other relevant projects and assignments and gain valuable experience in medical device repair, troubleshooting, medical device record, and process improvement, as well as business acumen by working on projects and assignments within an environment where creative ideas and methods are shared and integrated.Job Responsibilities

  • Log and track service order activity and medical device record
  • Consults with advanced team members and their liaisons to understand software and hardware errors
  • Support effort to improve inventory and process management

Education and Experience

  • You must be currently enrolled in a qualifying undergraduate program (Bachelor’s) in the field of Biomedical Engineering, and have completed at least 3 years of studies, in an accredited Ontario or Quebec based college/university.
  • Must be in good academic standing pursuing their degree, combined with the ability to work from 5/05/2025 to 8/29/2025.
  • Basic understanding of biomedical engineering design.

Skills and Knowledge

  • Excellent listening, interpersonal and relationship building skills.
  • Outstanding writing and editing skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize assignments. Strong time management skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office tools, (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Ability to work independently, with minimal guidance and supervision.
  • Experience with medical device record documentation
  • Time management skill to organized daily task and activities.

This position is based at multiple locations across Canada., primarily servicing surface drills used in open-pit mining operations.Duties and Responsibilities

  • Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair surface drills and related heavy equipment used in mining and construction.
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical. systems on rotary, percussion, and DTH (Down the Hole) surface drills.
  • Conduct transmission, drive-train, and engine repairs, including replacing components and performing system diagnostics.
  • Utilize computerized and other testing equipment to determine faults and necessary repairs.
  • Read and interpret service manuals, work orders, and schematics to determine required procedures.
  • Carry out both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and repair tasks.
  • Perform preventative maintenance to maximize equipment uptime and minimize breakdowns.
  • Ensure proper documentation of service work, including detailed reports on repairs performed.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Collaborate with site supervisors, mechanics, and other team members to ensure operational efficiency.

Job RequirementsExperience & Certifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of recent experience as a Drill Mechanic, preferably working out of a service truck in mining or heavy construction environments.
  • Journeyman Heavy Duty Off-Road Technician or equivalent certification required.
  • Experience with off-road mobile mining and construction equipment with varied brands and models will be considered an asset.
  • Red Seal certification required.
  • Strong experience with surface drill brands such as Epiroc, Sandvik, Atlas Copco, Komatsu, and Caterpillar,
  • Extensive knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems on surface drills.
  • Ability to read hydraulic and electrical schematics to troubleshoot complex issues.

Technical Skills:

  • Solid experience diagnosing and troubleshooting surface drill components.
  • Strong electrical and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to work professionally with co-workers and customers.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

  • Must be willing to work in an alcohol and drug-free camp environment.
  • Physically fit – ability to lift 50 lbs. comfortably.
  • Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions and environments.
