- Contribute to through leadership in the space including attending and speaking at conferences, contributing to white papers and articles, and participating in working groups (must be able to travel)
- Ensure that all opportunities are captured, organized and maintained in our CRM (Hubspot)
- Manage stakeholder engagement and expectations, supporting our partners in applications to various programs and grants
- Own the full lifecycle of opportunities from initial reach out to delivery handoff, and follow up
- Own x-functional relationships within Riipen to both secure funding and also support the execution of projects won
- At least 3 years experience in a similar role with focus on Business Development, Grant Funding, Government Relations and/or Higher Education
- Proven experience in a revenue producing role and working to revenue targets is a must have
- Experience in the future of work, re-skilling / up-skilling and Work Based Learning is preferred
- A strong background in online tech platforms is highly desirable
What you bring:
- Experience in securing partnerships as descried as above – workforece development experience is a non-negotiable
- Familiarity with Canadian federal, provincial, and local funding bodies and foundations is an asset
- Experience in securing projects / grants both smaller in size ($10,000+) and larger, complex proposals including for multi-year funding upwards of $1Million
- Ability to design, execute, iterate and report projections and key performance indicators
- Formalized grant writing experience is an asset
- Experience in helping build business processes and organizational capabilities in a rapidly changing, nimble work environment.
- Strong business development, communications and/or government relations skills.
- Excellent communication skills (both oral and written); interpersonal skills, organization skills, and analytical skills.
- Master’s degree in Commerce, Education, Finance, Business, Public Administration, Public Policy or related field preferred, but not required
