What you’ll do

The Talent Sourcer will execute creative, tailored, and impactful solutions built in partnership with the Talent Acquisition Design team, in support of current open roles. A wide degree of creativity, understanding of the current recruitment landscape, business acumen and superior time management is required. The Talent Sourcer will scout and build a pipeline of talent on a cross section of roles, spanning across multiple business lines including IT, Store Operations, Finance / Accounting, Marketing / Digital, e- commerce, Supply Chain, Merchandising.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a brand ambassador by promoting Canadian Tire’s brand in the marketplace through developing and maintaining strong candidate relations and industry networks
  • Create and foster relationships with online resources, professional organizations, community organizations, to create partnerships that yield quality candidates
  • Build a network of prospects; Utilize data and current trends to creatively figure out where new prospects can be uncovered
  • Stay informed of current trends and innovative recruiting techniques to be competitive and creative with sourcing and attracting quality candidates

Experience & Skills:

  • Experience with multiple methods of sourcing passive and active prospects including using LinkedIn Recruiter & Indeed; Exceptional comfort sourcing, cold calling, head hunting prospects
  • Comfort with technology and using Excel, Taleo, other relevant applicant tracking systems (ATS); Workday Recruiting experience an asset
  • Builds and maintains relationships easily; is approachable and welcoming to prospects
  • Creative, outside the box thinker; a problem solver
  • Demonstrated ability to source for a broad range of positions, corporate & retail
  • Highly developed written and oral communication skills; excellent listening skills
  • Excellent time management skills; ability to prioritize tasks
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately
  • Capable of working seamlessly across multiple employee populations.
  • Strong ability to collaborate well with others to find solutions.

Responsibilities include:

  • Support the event production team for live and virtual events
  • Drive training and communication strategies to optimize your team’s results, engagement and retention
  • Interact with key client contacts to understand upcoming initiatives, product launches and on-site execution needs
  • Manage client expectations and help to make all plans operational
  • Strong orientation to identifying and maintaining operational best practices
  • Support data integrity and reporting requirements

  • Coordinate team efforts in the recruiting, training and ongoing development of high performance field team
  • Proactively identify problems and develop solutions within guidelines of a program. Anticipate problems and solutions
  • Source, research and review event options for rentals and décor
  • Sales oriented and the ability to coach infield staff on areas of growth

Qualifications

  • College or University Degree
  • 0-3 years of in office experience
  • Availability for a contract of October/ASAP – Dec 31st 2021
  • Strong leadership experience being apart of a team
  • Experience and understanding of experiential, tech and communications is an asset
  • Strong business acumen – budgeting is something you have an affinity for
  • Highly adaptable; Ability to handle high stress situations and utilize problem solving techniques to find the best solutions
  • Client service orientated with an ability to build strong and productive working relationships
  • Able to prioritize, problem solve and multi-task
  • Strong attention to detail, meticulous follow up, proactive
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to work in a digital work environment

About the Team:

The Recruitment team at Wealthsimple has grown significantly over the past year. We’re currently a team of 20+, and we’ll continue to grow rapidly along with the business. The Recruitment team partners closely with the business and has played an invaluable role in scaling teams across the company. As a Manager, Talent Acquisition, you will lead a team of Technical Recruiters and work closely with stakeholders in Data Science, Product, UX, Security, Marketing, and more. You will have a strong focus on coaching, metrics and analytics, and will advise on scaling our technical teams.
