What will your typical day look like?

As a leader within the Advertising, Marketing and Commerce (AMC) team, you will be working on marketing transformation projects based on client needs and objectives. You will have the opportunity to work across industries and subject matters across the marketing function.

As a Senior Manager you will:

  • Manage a diverse team of talented Consultants while coaching them to their highest potential
  • Cultivate relationships with clients and possess a strong knowledge in leveraging prevalent methodologies
  • Employ a structured approach to project management to ensure complete client satisfaction and project profitability
  • Develop your expertise in a specialization and your reputation as a business advisor
  • Contribute to practice growth and development
  • Participate in the development and delivery of training programs

You are someone who has:

  • A passion around marketing and digitizing organizations to improve customer experience
  • An understanding of the advertising landscape and different channels where messages are served across owned, earned and paid
  • Post-graduate degree, preferably, but not limited to, Business, Commerce, or Marketing
  • Minimum 8-12 years of relevant experience within marketing strategy, digital marketing or marketing technology
  • Strong grasp of digital marketing practices, tools, and applications
  • Strong commitment to professional and client service excellence
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to deliver the full cycle of project management accountabilities
  • Experienced with project problem diagnosis, solution development, client communications, facilitation of decision-making, documentation, managing client expectations and team leadership
  • Nice to have experience with client management or client service
  • Experience leading and managing a team

Be part of cutting edge technology innovation at Deloitte. Our Assurance team is looking for a Manager to partner with us on leading edge Digital Assurance services to our Blockchain, Digital Asset, Cryptocurrency and Analytics clients.

What will your typical day look like?

The Manager role will work closely in the Assurance team to transform existing business processes and accounting methodologies to align with a digital future. As a Manager on our team, you will:

  • Review and oversee the full cycle, planning through execution, of projects, including controls advisory, regulatory advisory, and technical accounting advisory
  • Contribute to the business development and the strengthening of client relationships
  • Review client deliverables prepared by junior staff and develop staff skillsets related to technical knowledge, communication skills, leadership and project management
  • Contribute to market-facing eminence initiatives, including development of new service offerings and marketing campaigns
  • Develop materials for and participate in the delivery of presentations to clients and firm personnel

This role will be instrumental in our Digital Assurance practice. You will managing teams of both business advisors and developers to service our clients by providing the bridge between technology and accounting. This role is very entrepreneurial and as such, you can expect your work to vary day to day. In addition to Digital Assurance you will participate on the wider Assurance team.

About the team

Our Assurance team focuses on supporting CFOs and their Finance teams’ efforts to enhance effectiveness and efficiency and, when required, provide services in connection with the development and implementation of technology solutions. We focus on applying our deep knowledge of financial reporting requirements, controls and processes to the operational aspects of Finance – “How” Finance does what it needs to do and where it can enhance the value it brings to the organization. We are a team of CPAs with blended industry and public accounting experience. We use that experience to bring the best solutions to our clients every day.

Enough about us, let’s talk about you

You are someone who has:

  • Experience with processes and controls across both business and IT controls. Although experience with reporting issuers or SOX entities are not a requirement, it would be an asset.
  • Ability to understand and communicate findings related to complex accounting issues under IFRS.
  • Experience with regulatory reporting requirements (e.g. IIROC for broker dealers) is an asset.
  • Project management discipline and structure including the ability to manage several engagements at once, work collaboratively the teams and communicate status to internal and external stakeholders.
  • A strong sense of personal discipline and accountability with the ability to manage both client work and internal business development
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently but also as a part of a multiple location team
  • Ability to translate client challenges into tactical improvement opportunities and develop requirements from a strategic perspective
  • An entrepreneurial spirit that isn’t afraid of challenging the status quo
  • CPA, CA designation and between 5 to 10 years of relevant work experience.
