Job description
As a team member of Bell Media, you will be responsible for managing digital audio products and assembling a strategy to determine which distribution methods, players, applications and technologies best meet customer needs and to realize new business opportunities. You will work closely with engineering, design, and product management teams to deliver outstanding and innovative listening experiences to consumers, while also achieving key business and technical objectives.
A day in the life of a Product Manager
There truly is no typical day in the life of a product manager at Bell Media. There are core responsibilities that you will manage including strategy, research, road mapping, analysis, communication, and product performance. You have a strategic role in growing and engaging audience on digital as well as deliver the best user experience while working with marketing for acquisition strategy. You are responsible for defining your optimal day, thinking holistically about your role, and how you can bring the most value to the organization and your customers. To collaborate with one another, our teams use tools like Jira, Confluence, Slack, Webex. While it is a fast-paced environment that is also what makes the job so dynamic!
Key responsibilities
- Establish and clearly communicate the vision and objectives of Bell Media’s audio program, and the role it plays in executing the overall digital strategy
- Provide strategic insight into the industry-wide audio and voice-enabled landscape along with a keen understanding of current trends and opportunities as they relate to Bell Media
- Support innovation to deliver compelling, premium listening experiences across various platforms and smart speaker products, ad innovation, and audio players with great user experiences
- Lead a cross-functional team of product managers, engineers, developers, user experience team members, scrum leaders and product owners under a direct and indirect reporting structure for all audio related initiatives
- Acts as a primary liaison to gain the buy-in from stakeholders and communicate the needs to the development team
- Lead the collaborative, dynamic planning process – prioritizing the work that needs to be done
