We’re looking for a highly motivated Business Development Specialist who is passionate about prospecting and has a deep willingness to learn. As a key member of our growing Sales team, the Business Development Specialist will be responsible for building a quality pipeline, driving growth, and creating new business opportunities.About You

- Drive sales growth and pipeline by setting up qualified meetings for yourself and the VP of Business Development with organizations that fit our Ideal Customer Profile
- Set up meetings or calls through a multi-channel sales strategy including social, email and personalized video
- Proactively seek and research new business opportunities in the market
- Present our company to potential clients in a highly professional manner
2. Lead Qualification
- Qualify inbound leads and opportunities generated through sales and marketing campaigns
- Execute lead nurturing campaigns that turn stagnant opportunities into new deals
- Generate qualified leads in a predictable and cost effective manner to support our revenue forecasts
3. Account-Based Sales Development
- Identify key contacts to reach in strategic business accounts and execute a highly personalized outreach program to drive interest
- Execute against a sequence of plays to develop pipeline for sales team
- Execute demos of Starling Minds platform with enthusiasm and knowledge
4. Sales Process and Tools
- Use sales processes and tools including HubSpot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator and others to book meetings efficiently
- Record all interactions in our CRM system accurately, ensuring cleanliness and data integrity
- Report results on a weekly/monthly/quarter basis
- Communicate successes and key findings to team members so everyone benefits from your learnings
Skills and Requirements
- Minimum 3-years hands-on experience with solution or value-based selling, preferably within a targeted account-based setting
- Solid understanding of employee benefits, employee health and wellness programs, telemedicine or EAPs
- Outstanding problem-solving skills with the ability to manage and navigate objections
- A great listener with the ability to engage and motivate prospects to take action
- Self-motivated and reliable with strong time management and organizational skills
- Highly coachable with excellent written and oral communication skills
- Passion for mental health and wellbeing

Job Details
- Salary: $80,000 – $85,000 (Annual equivalent) + Commission
- Full time contract position: 40 hours per week, 9 month contract period with the possibility of full-time permanent extension
- Reports to: VP Business Development
- Anticipated start date: September 2024
- Location: Remote / Work from home (Greater Toronto area or Vancouver preferred)

Our client, a well-established company in the engineering industry, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their team in Toronto, ON. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and managing mechanical design projects from concept to completion.
