AEM Developer

Strong, seasoned candidate that can join an existing team to produce high quality deliverables with a view toward realizing high-end technology solutions for Hyatt. Design, develop and roll out solutions using modern ways of working within a team environment.

  • Develop Digital Consumer experiences using Adobe’s AEM product suite, including WCM, DAM and Social Collaboration
  • Develop powerful features such as multi-site and multi-channel delivery, personalization/targeting, content aggregation & syndication, multi-lingual support, automated workflow management, social media etc.
  • Help to diagnose and solve technical problems related to content management implementation
  • Interact with team members to create end-to-end specifications for content collaboration solutions
  • Provide inputs and suggestions to other team members for design and implementation
  • Collaborate with your architect to define implementation processes and quality gates and standards
  • Write application code and extensions for the Day CQ platform that exceeds the defined quality standards.

Specific skills:

  • Mastery of core web technologies including XML, HTML5, CSS, client/server-side-scripting languages such as JavaScript, and JSP, and web services development using RESTful implementations
  • Deep understanding of Java, Java EE, Servlets, JSP, Tag libraries, and JSTL skills, combined with a strong understanding of Enterprise Java frameworks such as Spring and Hibernate
  • Deep understanding of and hands-on development experience with relevant Java CMS frameworks including Apache Sling for content-centric application development, JCR and JSR-170/JSR-283 for Content Management, JSR-168 and JSR-286 for Portal development, and Apache Felix for OSGi bundle development
  • Understanding of asset management and Dynamic media for AEM solutions
  • Proficient in Day CQ/Adobe AEM foundational concepts, including the use of core frameworks such as Apache Sling and Apache Felix, a solid understanding of all of the related building blocks including templates, components, dialogs, widgets, etc., and the Adobe AEM development and deployment process
  • Good understanding of Day CQ/Adobe AEM WCM capabilities including Multi-site manager and Blueprinting, and the use of online marketing components such as advanced targeting/personalization, and multi-variate testing, is preferred
  • Proficient knowledge of the end-to-end content lifecycle, web content management, content publishing/deployment, and delivery processes

Description

As an AEM Developer you’ll join a team responsible for delivering and supporting world-class Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) solutions. You’ll develop responsive front-end components and contribute to all aspects of the AEM Authoring experience including building pages in AEM, training authors, understanding website/authoring issues and enhancement requests. You’ll leverage your strong technical skills in developing seamless and scalable solutions for premier engagements alongside industry experts at TA Digital.

Responsibilities:

  • Translate business goals into technical requirements, conduct code/design reviews, and drive the technical implementation of web projects throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Work with development teams to implement integrated technical solutions.
  • Develop front-end code in a timely and high-quality manner while leveraging site standards including site structure, page templates, navigation and the site information architecture.
  • Build AEM authoring components and templates
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable and stable web solutions that meet business needs.
  • Utilize AEM to layout pages, troubleshoot issues, and train authors of the system.
  • Assign tasks and coordinate with offshore resources.
  • Partner with Visual Design and User Experience teams to develop effective/engaging designs.
  • Utilize reusable templates and common HTML elements while leveraging centralized JQuery/JavaScript libraries and global CSS.
  • Use a shared standards library to be used by all web teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required with Master’s preferred
  • 3+ years of IT experience with 2+ years of experience within AEM implementing Web Content Management (WCM) and Digital Asset Management (DAM) solutions
  • Experience in AEM component development, workflow development and integrating AEM with other applications
  • Expertise in AEM and associated technologies such as Sling, OSGI, Felix, Jackrabbit, JCR, CRX highly desired
  • Experience with Java technologies and frameworks mainly Spring, Hibernate
  • Experience with at least one Ajax/JavaScript framework (Jquery, ExtJS)
  • Experience to other web technologies like Search, XML, XSL etc.
  • Experience in configuring and performance tuning enterprise application servers i.e., Weblogic server, Websphere Server, JBoss , etc.,
