- Draft and issue key correspondence, including reservation of rights letters, proofs of loss, and critical path documents.
- Identify opportunities for subrogation, risk improvements, and recognition of questionable claims.
- Ensure the accuracy of data entry, payment processing, and reporting within internal claims systems.
- Maintain alignment with company claims handling procedures, service standards, and customer expectations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience handling commercial and residential property claims.
- Strong understanding of property insurance industry practices, policy wordings, and case law.
- Excellent construction knowledge and ability to interpret technical building estimates.
- Solid digital literacy and comfort working with claims management platforms and reporting tools.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and report writing skills.
- Basic accounting knowledge considered an asset.
