This position is a remote opportunity – however, we are seeking candidates local to Ontario’s Greater Toronto Area, based on business needs.The FS Pricing Specialist will be responsible to review customer accounts to determine accurate pricing and to ensure that the company optimizes the pricing structure and achieves maximum pricing returns, including reviewing all targeted accounts on the determined schedule. Responsibilities:

  • Review targeted customer pricing details in the system using the available tools, including areas such as labor, equipment, disposal, transportation and materials, and scrutinizing ancillary charges for inclusion in the customer’s pricing schedule.
  • Activate the pricing schedule in the system.
  • Recommend price increases in all areas where the company does business with the customer.
  • Track incidences and frequency of price acceptances/rejections and provide performance to support sales force efforts.
  • Coordinate and facilitate price reduction efforts or programs when customers are not accepting price increases
  • Develop precise estimates for labor, equipment, PPE, materials, and disposal necessary for complex field service projects.
  • Collaborate with sales and operations to ensure projects are completed safely and within the scope of the quotation.
  • Complete all quotes within 72 hours.
  • Maintain high margins and a strong win ratio through prompt and accurate quoting.
  • Implement profitable pricing strategies while analyzing competition within the district.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for pricing and quoting inquiries from sales and operations within the District and Region.
  • Work with the Field Service Coordinator or Branch Manager to assess the manpower, equipment, and resources needed for scheduled and emergency response projects.
  • Contribute to pricing and execution strategies for opportunities to maximize revenue and profitability.
  • Advise users on best practices for submitting detailed project information via Salesforce for accurate quotes.
  • Incorporate feedback from sales and operations to improve quoting accuracy.
  • Meet or exceed revenue targets while supporting business units in achieving profitability goals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years’ experience with proposals/pricing.
  • Field Services industry experience.
  • A bachelor’s degree in environmental science, or Business Administration, or Related is highly preferred.
  • Able to facilitate and lead meetings that are organized and productive.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills. Must be able to effectively work well and communicate with peers and all levels of management including executive staff.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously with constant deadlines.
  • Self-starter, detailed and results oriented with ability to work independently.
  • Proficiency in MS Windows based applications.
  • Experience within the industry and/or proposal development.
