2024 SUMMER TERM
Tasks
- Able to prioritize daily request and projects to meet engineering needs\deadlines.
- Able to communicate in pleasant manner with various departments, customers or suppliers
- Work on various engineering projects during the work term. Below is the work study project list concerning the engineering department:
- Bill of Material Development \ JDE Roll Master Specifications
To research old job files to extract parts and material purchased on that job to create Bill of Materials for specific rolls. Extract and confirm all product specifications and input into database. Establish automated output of specification on traveler documents and sales orders. * Hydraulic Roll guideline implementation
Finish what previous summer student project and foremost establish clear guidelines for CC rolls and some unique swim rolls (big seals) when doing dynamic tests. Simple chart needed with result range needed and procedure. * FEA Simulation
Solid Works – to simulate existing specific custom head and shaft designs and apply loads under real machine conditions and\or lathe condition to check some specific stress and determined Factor of Safety rating on material. Try to setup classic equations that identifies weakness in shaft engineering design. * Customer Account projects – special upgrades\modification
To assist Project Managers with customer accounts. Internal sales, quotation, reports and review of customer paper machine roll design, implement standard upgrade design and develop new upgrades base on existing condition. * CMM Implementation
Develop and implement new procedure for Coordinate Measuring Machine Arm. This project includes training and giving support to millwrights and machinist. * Roll Centers to Digitization
Support ongoing project to digitize process between engineering and production.
Profile
- Bachelors of Engineering Student (mechanical preferred)
- Excellent language skills (French and English)
- Microsoft 365 experience (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power point, OneNote and Teams)
- Technical CAD and drawing annotation proficiency.
- VB Programming background would be an asset.

Senior Mechanical Engineer
Description
The Senior Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for leading and managing mechanical engineering projects for a range of clients. Key Responsibilities

Qualifications

– Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
– Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team
