- Drive growth and position key events as the must-attend experiences in their markets.
- Partner with senior leadership to conceptualize and deliver unique, high-impact event experiences for fans, exhibitors, and sponsors.
- Introduce bold ideas, new features, and innovative activations that spark excitement and drive ticket sales.
- Lead the creation and implementation of strategic plans to achieve ambitious revenue and engagement goals.
- Evaluate historical performance and cross-functional input (content, sales, ops, guest relations, etc.) to inform future event strategy.
- Develop and lead integrated marketing campaigns that energize audiences and drive results.
- Champion best-in-class content strategies that elevate the attendee experience and differentiate each show.
Event & Team Management
- Oversee the end-to-end operational readiness of assigned events, managing both permanent and seasonal teams.
- Provide strong leadership and mentorship, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence.
- Own the master project timeline and engage shared services (marketing, sales, customer service, etc.) to ensure flawless delivery.
- Build and maintain relationships with venues, hotels, sponsors, associations, and key vendors.
- Manage budgets and contracts, ensuring high-quality service and maximum ROI.
- Lead floorplan design, booth regulations, and ensure compliance and logistical efficiency.
- Oversee website strategy and performance to ensure the digital face of the show is optimized for growth.
- Identify operational efficiencies and cost-saving opportunities across all phases of planning.
- Travel to events as needed to oversee on-site execution and ensure a premium experience for all stakeholders.
What You Bring:
- 5+ years of event management experience, ideally in live shows, expos, or trade events.
- Proven success managing multi-million-dollar P&Ls and hitting financial targets.
- A track record of business development, innovation, and revenue growth.
- Existing connections within pop culture or crossover markets (a major plus!).
- Strategic planning expertise across short-, mid-, and long-term initiatives.
- Demonstrated leadership experience with a talent for motivating high-performing teams.
- High capacity for juggling multiple priorities, working under pressure, and delivering on time.
- Strong project management skills and a commercial mindset focused on ROI.
- Entrepreneurial spirit with a proactive, solutions-first approach.
- Experience curating compelling content that resonates with diverse audiences.
Candidates will need:
- A degree in Event Management, Business, Marketing, or Project Management
- Experience working closely with suppliers and partners in a deadline-driven environment
- Exceptional communication, time management, and organizational skills
- The flexibility to work evenings/weekends during event periods
- Availability for 45 events annually across Canada and the US
- A valid passport and ability to travel
