Job description: What is the opportunity?
As a member of the Digital Marketing & Sales (DM&S) team, you will help deliver business strategies for RBC’s public-facing website.
This role is comprised of three key functions: Digital marketing campaign execution, channel management of RBC’s public website, and executing strategic innovations to enhance the capabilities of the digital marketing team. As part of the Digital Marketing team you will collaborate with Marketing & Product stakeholders to execute the vision for brand marketing campaigns & programs. As a channel manager, you will go deep on technical builds, such as site optimization, capability development, & content marketing.
What will you do?
- Execute the vision for campaigns & programs by coordinating digital builds and providing strategic recommendations as to how to leverage the digital marketing assets and channels that are available.
- Help to provide leadership to recommend and deliver great content, tools, and capabilities to enhance the client experience while meeting business objectives.
- Support or lead a variety of content marketing programs, being a subject matter expert on the technology that enables them, SEO, & analytics.
- Look for strategic opportunities to onboard new technology & capabilities to enhance client experience, improve our understanding of client interactions on the public website, and introduce efficiencies in collaboration and day to day work flow.
- Build relationships with DM&S, Product, Marketing, & vendor partners in order to become a trusted advisor and a digital SME.
- Track efforts and optimize for visitors by leveraging Google Analytics and Google Optimize
- Lead assigned initiatives incorporating data collection, eCRM, behavioral marketing, A/B testing, dashboarding and reporting
- Present recommended solutions and data analysis to Product & Marketing partners and executives
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- Bachelors degree or College diploma in Business/Marketing/Technology
- 5+ years of digital marketing experience & 3+ years experience leading digital sites
- Exceptional client, project and vendor management skills with a digital-first mindset and work ethic
- Strong collaboration, presentation, written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with content, usability and information architecture, accessibility, privacy
- Knowledge of Google Analytics, Google Data Studio, Google Optimize, Content Managements Systems (ie. WordPress), FTP, Dev/staging/Prod environments, & SEO
Nice-to-have
- Experience in the financial services industry
- Ecommerce marketing or digital product ownership experience
- Agency experience
- Experience with and working knowledge of HTML/CSS/JavaScript & wide variety of digital marketing Saas tools/products
