We are an organization where individuals’ contributions are valued and there are many opportunities for personal growth and development.Position SummaryUnder indirect supervision and working as part of an interdisciplinary team, the Clinical Dietitian is responsible for providing high quality professional nutrition care to Medical/Surgical/ICU (non hemodialysis) assigned patients, consistent with the philosophy of Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital.The Clinical Dietitian is a vital member of the inter-professional team that assists to maximize nutrition intake, in a variety of medical/surgical adult inpatients to assist with optimizing nutrition with a goal to shorten the patient’s length of hospital stay.QualificationsEducation:
- Completion of a Bachelors Degree in Nutrition, Dietetics or related field and a graduate of an Accredited Dietetic Internship program required.
- Current member of the College of Dietitians of Ontario required.
- Member of the Dietitians of Canada considered and asset.
Experience:
- Minimum of one (1) year experience working in acute care setting required.
- Experience with electronic medical record system an asset.

- Demonstrate knowledge of chronic disease prevention & management.
- Demonstrate computer literacy with some advanced computer skills.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
