Closing Date: March 22, 2025Position SummaryThe Multimedia Specialist is responsible for producing video and photographic content for University Health Network corporate communications channels, and for providing strategic input on integrated marketing and brand initiatives, corporate projects, and all other video, photography, and related work led by the Communications & Marketing department.Under the direction of the Manager, Content Strategy, the Multimedia Specialist provides strategic communications expertise and executes the technical production for all activities undertaken by the Communications and Marketing department University Health Network.Duties
- Support visual storytelling on behalf of University Health Network by producing stories that express and advance the Mission, Vision, Values and Strategic Goals and amplify the brand of the organization, showcasing UHN’s national and global leadership across clinical, research and health education.
- Generating and researching stories, conceptualizing story treatments, developing interview Q-lines, filming, scripting, and editing professional-quality videos, photos, and graphic design in support of all Communications & Marketing department needs.
- Continually developing innovative and creative ideas for videos, audio, photos, and graphic elements to drive the objectives of Communications and Marketing department.
- Providing expert counsel on projects/initiatives including multimedia production tactics
- Assist with the management of all digital media assets in compliance with PHIPA
- Producing stories through video and photography that enhance the organization’s reputation
- Working collaboratively with internal UHN program service partners to advance communications and marketing plans through visual storytelling and development.
Qualifications
- University degree and/or college diploma in multimedia production, communications, film, digital marketing, digital communications, or broadcast journalism in combination with additional education and/or relevant experience
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in end-to end creation of video and photographic content for digital platforms at a comparable organization
- Proficient with Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, InDesign)
- Demonstrated ability in storytelling and creating impactful, compelling narratives
- Proficient in conducting thorough and rigorous research
- Strong interview skills
- Video production and editing experience including camera operation, lighting, audio capture, editing, and ability to do basic audio mixing and color grading prior to Master Outputs
- Proficiency in converting video to suit different platform formats
- Still Photography and editing experience
- Highly goal oriented and driven to achieve results
- Demonstrated excellence in communication, team building, and the ability to initiate and model positive change
- Evident commitment to continuous learning
- Evident track record of success working in teams
- Must have an online portfolio demonstrating abilities in video production and photography
