Job description: Position: Director of Sales
Location: Scarborough (Hybrid)
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic leader to fill the role of Director of Sales, Auto and Commercial. This pivotal position requires an individual with a proven track record in sales, business development, and team leadership within the automotive and manufacturing sectors. Responsibilities:
– Achieve/exceed sales targets for new and existing accounts
– Contribute to strategic plans and oversee execution
– Monitor sales processes, optimize CRM, and implement pricing strategies
– Lead impactful meetings, oversee compensation plans, and stay informed on industry trends
– Recruit, train, and develop an active sales force to drive growth and market share gain
– Oversee sales compensation plan administration and account management activities
– Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitors to identify new business opportunities
– Cultivate a culture of collaboration, teamwork, and accountability
– Implement, maintain, and report on sales-related Key Performance Indicators
Knowledge and Skills Required:
– 15+ years in sales and senior-level management
– 10+ years in automotive sales; manufacturing experience required
– Proven track record in meeting/exceeding targets and leading successful teams
– Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with effective presentation abilities
– Process-oriented with a strong foundation in instilling sales processes and methodologies
– Current with technology, leading inbound and digital marketing efforts if chosen as a strategy
– Financial acumen, specifically understanding margins (contribution, gross, net)
– Proven negotiation skills and experience in change management principles
