Job Description

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Marketing Manager to join our team. Reporting to the SVP Operations, the Social Media Manager is responsible for creating, managing and executing digital marketing campaigns in social platforms for a broad range of agency clients as well as our own agency brands.

This role offers significant opportunity for career development since the right candidate will be leading the social department and representing the agency to our clients. This includes assisting in developing the agency service level and deliverables as well as vetting and selecting the industry tools for use in the social department.

Planning, developing, presenting and delivering successful strategies for clients is a core component of this role. Additional responsibilities for the Social Media Manager also include assisting in outreach and communication as well as planning content creation to help support our client’s online marketing campaigns.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Complete ownership of client marketing campaigns from plan to production including: brief development, ideation, channel recommendations, creative development, planning, implementation and management
  • Participate in meetings related to existing projects and new business and will be expected to lead conversations about progress, needs and results of each client’s marketing campaign
  • Monitor effective benchmarks and KPIs for measuring the impact of social media, content marketing and inbound marketing campaigns to analyze, review, and report on effectiveness of campaigns in an effort to maximize results
  • Manage client inbound and social marketing campaigns and day-to-day activities. Duties include online advocacy and monitoring, editorial content, content writing, community-outreach efforts, aggregating article and video content, distributing content to content sites etc…
  • Become an advocate of clients among various social communication channels, engaging in dialogues and answering questions where appropriate
  • Develop and expand community and/or blogger outreach efforts
  • Provide insights gained from brand monitoring to AM and Cross-Department teams, to help them evolve their strategies in a timely fashion
  • Report on trends in social/inbound marketing, to the agency and clients alike
  • Develop best practices and processes for communications department
  • Identify threats and opportunities in user generated content surrounding the business, report to appropriate management
  • Oversee design of content for social channels
  • Develop and manage promotions and contests
  • Create and manage all client social media ad campaigns including budgeting
  • Execute on client newsletters
  • Monitor trends in social media tools, applications, channels, design and strategy.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2+ years of work experience in a similar role
  • Demonstrate creativity and documented immersion in social media
  • Proficient in content marketing theory and application. Experience sourcing and managing content development and publishing
  • Exhibits the ability to jump from the creative side of marketing to analytical side, able to demonstrate why their ideas are analytically sound
  • Displays in-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms and their respective participants (Facebook, Twitter, Yelp, Google+, YouTube, Instagram, Pinterest etc.) and how each platform can be deployed in different scenarios
  • Maintains excellent writing and language skills
  • Enjoys a working knowledge of the blogging ecosystem
  • Displays ability to effectively communicate information and ideas in written and video format
  • Is a team player with the confidence to take the lead and guide other employees when necessary (ie: content development, creation and editing of content, and online reputation management)
  • Makes evident good technical understanding and can pick up new tools quickly
  • Maintains a working knowledge of principles of SEO

The role:

We are looking for a Growth Strategist who has experience in client management, ensuring all our client’s needs are met in line with the agreed strategy, KPIs and goals. The role of a Growth Strategist is responsible for planning and organising activity to be delivered by your pod. You will split your time between leading your team in delivering the strategy and communicating this to the client alongside supporting your team in client delivery. It will be your responsibility to run the sprint process and ensure clear client communication post 90-days, you’ll have ownership over that process for the clients that reside within your delivery pod.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand client needs, translating client business objectives into Growth marketing tactics and deliver consistently high quality inbound, conversational and account-based marketing
  • Liaise with clients and ensure project deliverables and timeframes are outlined to them effectively (post 90days)
  • Develop and deliver growth marketing strategies including ABM, conversational and inbound marketing
  • Launch and manage Growth Marketing Campaigns
  • Ensure quality control is in place for work produced by the pod
  • Deliver Client Training (across all areas)
  • Creation of marketing automation processes for HubSpot & Drift

Ideally, you will have:

  • 3+ years agency experience
  • A passion for inbound marketing (content, social, SEO)
  • Understanding of theory and implementation of Conversational marketing, Account-based marketing, Inbound Marketing and automation processes
  • Ability to analyse, diagnose and solve problems or issues
  • Plan and prioritise based on predicted outcomes
  • An understanding of Biddable Media and other paid methods
  • An excellent understanding of lead generation and customer acquisition
  • Experience with direct mail and other non-digital marketing
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work with clients, prospects and partners by telephone, email and in person
  • Proactivity in searching for new opportunities to improve the client’s campaigns
  • Organisational skill and proficiency in project management

Role Impact:

To support the Sr. Manager Regional Marketing and Director of Regional Marketing with the implementation of all marketing events and initiatives at CF Toronto Eaton Centre.

What you will deliver:

  • Collect data to prepare and ensure the accuracy of standardized reports that detail the performance of the annual marketing plan;
  • Provide and maintain courteous, professional and efficient service to internal/external clients and community groups by responding to requests for information and redirecting inquiries beyond own scope of expertise in order to maintain good levels of client service;
  • Partner with the Senior Regional Manager and Accounting to track and manage the annual marketing budget to ensure financial resources are utilized in the most fiscally responsible manner;
  • Assist Marcomm & the Social Communications to generate content ideas that support the local social media strategy and overall business initiatives
  • Create social media posts for clients (stores) and local executions in partnership with Marcomm
  • Develop, recommend and align localized content calendar with Content Manager, participating in weekly content planning as needed
  • Post and reply as needed on CF property social media pages in alignment with Content Manager and Corporate communications
  • Conduct regular checks of competitive shopping centres and venues, including and not limited to the physical space, retail mix, physical activations, social media and digital presence
  • Support and the Brand, Ravel and Digital & Innovation/Technology teams with the setup, scoping, communication, execution and launch of any new products and initiatives
  • Support leasing team onboarding new clients to the shopping centres
  • Administer and run small research projects with the retail clients and/or customers at properties to support various teams at CF in gaining further insights for a project and/or plan
  • Role may require servicing multiple properties periodically or consistently within a provincial region depending on geographic or vacancy needs (ie: Calgary, GTA, Southwestern Ontario, Montreal)
