  • Design and implement secure, robust, highly available, and scalable solutions to manage and optimize the workforce’s identity and access lifecycle.
  • Develop and enforce access control policies by designing, building, and deploying authentication and authorization mechanisms within our Service-Oriented Architecture.
  • Collaborate with teams across Yelp to assess IAM risks, define remediation strategies, and drive access improvements supporting the Principle of Least Privilege.
  • Create models to systematically identify over-provisioned permissions and recommend enhancements to strengthen our least-privilege posture.
  • Automate governance controls and improve the efficiency of compliance processes.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and incident response as needed.

What it takes to succeed:

  • An understanding of and background in IAM processes, access management lifecycles, role engineering, single sign-on, and associated best practices.
  • Ideally 3+ years of experience in software engineering, developing full-stack, complex, and distributed applications.
  • A strong understanding of designing elegant, well-structured APIs.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript, C, etc.).
  • BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • A collaborative mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving, continuous learning, and knowledge sharing across teams.

What you’ll get:

  • Compensation range is $85,000-237,000 annually. Depending on your role and level, you may also be offered a bonus, restricted stock units, and benefits.
