Responsibilities

Marketing B2B strategy_

  • Manage the end-to-end marketing efforts to generate awareness, mindshare and engagement from our customers and generate acquisition of leads
  • Manage customer service and customer success initiatives with a focus on enhancing client’s experience
  • Analyze industry trends, market analysis, and marketing best practices to build successful strategies
  • Plan, manage, and execute digital marketing initiatives, including creative campaigns, analytics and special projects
  • Oversee SEO, PPC management and execution, as well as create campaign advertising copy for: Google Adwords, Linkedin, Facebook, etc.
  • Experience with social media strategy, development of a playbook, and execution of campaigns into social channels

Technology, platform and analytics

  • Strengthen online brand and user experience and enhance the client journey in the digital landscape
  • Experience with a full stack digital marketing technology environment (CRM, Dashboards, automation tools, etc.), knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM, an asset
  • Lead and collaborate with digital agencies to manage all digital marketing channels and identify opportunities to optimize (enhance website, blogs, SEO, and social media plans)
  • Stay up to date on digital technology developments

Team management and collaboration

  • Coach and grow team of direct reports
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to identify and improve efficiencies
  • Develop and implement Agile approach with project managers

Skills required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Commerce, or equivalent
  • 5+ years overall experience in marketing with 3+ years digital acquisition marketing experience in B2B
  • 3+ years in team management with a track record of successfully developing reports
  • Proven track record in a variety of marketing disciplines experience, including digital marketing, direct marketing, acquisition, product marketing, customer management
  • Ability to define strategies based on business goals & customer insights, lead with a vision and translate it into actionable tests and implementation plans

Job Description

Responsible for the strategy and management of paid social and search media campaigns across our Torstar brands. You will use paid media to promote our brands, find new audiences, drive more traffic to our websites and ultimately to convert to paying subscribers.

  • Develop, execute and optimize leading-edge digital campaigns from conception to launch. This includes Social, Search, Retargeting, Content Promotion, Display, etc.
  • Develop and execute strategies to grow social fan groups
  • Work cross-departmentally to align campaign strategies and goals with teams responsible for earned and owned media
  • Manage agency partner – challenging performance and extracting actionable insights to drive continuous improvement from campaigns
  • Conduct in-depth keyword and website research, ad grouping and audience targeting
  • Use paid channels efficiently with upper funnel initiatives to increase brand visibility, drive more traffic to our websites and to reach new audiences online.
  • Use paid channels efficiently with lower funnel initiatives to drive conversions in mobile app downloads, paid subscriptions and newsletter sign up’s
  • Manage paid media budget driving for continuous improvements in cost per acquisition. Supports ways to automate account management for greater efficiency
  • Determine opportunities for program expansion including new features, platform policy changes, new tech, news audiences/targeting parameters, setting strategic tone and path forward

Qualifications

  • Proven working experience in digital social and search media marketing

Key Responsibilities

Generis Content Generation

  • Generate cross-channel content (eBooks, blog posts, articles, infographics etc.) for distinct audiences across seven industries
  • Research and understand the content of the summit, the summit audience and the roles within the industry to generate topical and timely content
  • Analyze the efficacy of content pieces and drive improvements
  • Effectively communicate the activities and outcomes of Marketing campaigns to Senior Management
  • Constantly seek ways to innovate and improve processes, content and the overall value offering

Client Content Generation & Distribution

  • Work with our high level summit participants to help share their content and generate new content that will appeal to our attending audiences.
  • Build and cultivate relationships with our supplier partners
  • Work with our suppliers to develop a content generation strategy to promote their participation and demonstrate their thought leadership
  • Generate collaborative content (eBooks, blog posts, articles, infographics etc.)
  • Plan and execute content distribution schedules

Email Campaign Management

  • Generate email content to promote the upcoming summits
  • Manage and maintain the master list of contacts for each of our events
  • Manage email responses and coordinate the distribution of leads to sales and sponsorship associates
  • Track and report on the activities and outcomes of email campaigns
  • Provide training where necessary on internal email processes

Additional Responsibilities

  • Provide support for other marketing initiatives and activities as necessary

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Strong research and comprehension skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple ongoing projects
  • Technical writing skills and the ability to generate strong content for B2B audiences
  • Familiarity with social media channels and content distribution strategies

  • Design or aesthetic skills, and the ability to generate visual content
