OVERVIEW
POSITION TITLE: Coordinator, Marketing Activations
REPORTS TO: Manager, Marketing Activations
CONTRACT: 44 hours/week
LOCATION: Toronto, ON – Rogers Centre

POSITION SUMMARY:
As a member of the Toronto Blue Jays Marketing – Fan Experience Department, this contract position is responsible for the management, day-to-day responsibilities and scheduling of the Activation Team. The incumbent will report to the Manager, Marketing Activations and oversee marketing activation inventory, organization of all storage spaces, and assist in theme day and event planning and execution. The Coordinator, Marketing Activations will work alongside members of the marketing team, assisting in game day activation and giveaways while continuing to elevate and improve our fan experience each season. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Assist with the planning, coordination and activation of promotions, events, theme days and giveaways, including but not limited to, Jr. Jays Sundays, theme days, community events, virtual events, Blue Jays Baseball Academy, Corporate Partnership events and concerts.
- Oversee the hiring process of the Activation Team
- Outreach to prospective candidates
- Prepare interview schedule
- Develop interview questions
- Support with offering position and onboarding staff
- Responsible for the training and management of the Activation Team including;
- Develop training manuals
- Sourcing of uniforms
- Scheduling and payment of part-time staff for all baseball and non-baseball related events
- Monitoring and executing recognition programming
- Implementation of mid-season and end-of-season reviews of Activation Team members
- Assist in monitoring and measurement of service standards ensuring best in class fan experience
- Manage all storage and inventory of promotional products, marketing activations, and event décor
- Consistently facilitate and track any repairs required on any existing activations, signage or decor
- Manage prizing breakouts and inventory management for promotional products for all theme days and events
- Prepare activation and prizing rotation schedules per event, including equipment lists and breakouts
- Work closely with Ballpark Operations team to ensure equipment request forms are accurate and setups are executed
- Create Event Details and Production schedules for Blue Jays events and theme days
- Creatively contribute to the ideation of promotions, events and theme days
- Work collaboratively with the marketing department to ensure all promotions, events and theme days are aligned with TBJ brand
- Assist with day-to-day marketing and fan experience needs
- Contribute to creating and maintaining a collaborative culture across internal departments and game day teams
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Post-secondary education preferred in Marketing, Events, or Sport Management
- 1-3 years past work experience in Promotions, Marketing, Events and Live Entertainment preferred
- Team oriented and ability to collaborate across many internal departments
- Strong leadership capabilities to motivate and encourage team members
- Knowledge of the game of baseball and the Blue Jays is a necessity
- Athletic, energetic and motivated
- Must be able to sustain long physical days
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills
- Excellent organizational, creativity and communication skills required
- Experience in customer service an asset
- Ability to thrive in a deadline-driven, team environment
- Proven ability to coordinate multiple priorities and perform well under pressure
- Ability and willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must be available to work all Toronto Blue Jays home games, Rogers Centre concerts and other events where required
