Job description: We are passionate about building and facilitating a long-term content strategy for owned and third-party channels that supports all business lines within Canada Segment, positions Manulife Canada as a partner in health, and tells the wider “Why Manulife” story.Key Accountabilities:· Work with the Director to develop key editorial narratives for each business line and plan out a long-term, multi-platform, always-on content strategy for Canada Segment· Work cross functionally across business lines to build a coordinated content calendar that priorities across Canada Segment and tells our well-rounded brand story· Ideate, assign and edit content crafted to enforce our brand narrative and support our marketing goals, ensuring consistent editorial tone/voice· Develop and monitor success metrics for content· Work closely with SEO to determine a segment-specific search strategy, including opportunities to guide content development and optimization of existing content.· Obsess about audiences, what they want and need from content, and the best ways to reach them· Manage a small team of content creators for Canada Segment striving to produce, outstanding content to drive brand awareness, foster customer engagement, and generate business leads· Work with marketing heads and digital team to identify best ways to amplify/drive to content· Work with social media editor to ensure editorial voice is reflected in our social media contentCapabilities/Experience:
- Solid understanding of the Canadian Financial and Insurance space
- Experience developing content strategies in support of business priorities, including vehicles for thought leadership
- Ability to write and edit short, medium and long-form multi-media content under tight deadlines
- Experience analyzing digital metrics and using data to guide planning
- Develops and maintains reporting dashboards using Adobe Analytics
- Understanding of writing for SEO and SEO strategy
- Excellent consulting, presentation and communication skills
- Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can handle multiple contending priorities
- Highly collaborative, works well with cross-functional partners
- Solid understanding of how to navigate a large organization and manage relationships with external partners
Required Qualifications:Proven experience in editorial, brand content or agency environment, including crafting content and building strategy for B2B and B2C audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and develop a team of writers and content creators
