The Director of Digital Marketing is a strategic leader responsible for driving the organization’s digital and content marketing efforts. They oversee the development and execution of digital and content strategies, ensuring alignment with business goals. This role combines creativity, data-driven decision-making, and technical expertise to enhance brand visibility, engage audiences, and drive revenue growth.A Day in the LifeDigital Strategy Development and Marketing Operations
- Develop and implement a comprehensive digital marketing strategy that integrates with overall business objectives.
- Oversee the day-to-day marketing operations, including campaign planning, execution and performance tracking.
- Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and track digital marketing performance.
- Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.
Content Marketing
- Lead content strategy, creation, and distribution across digital channels.
- Collaborate with content creators, designers, and SEO specialists to produce high-quality, engaging content.
- Optimize content for search engines and user experience
Digital Advertising
- Oversee paid media campaigns (PPC, display, social media advertising).
- Allocate budgets effectively and optimize ad spend.
- Analyze ad performance metrics and adjust targeting strategies.
Web and UX Optimization
- Collaborate with web development teams to enhance website functionality, user experience, and conversion rates.
- Implement A/B testing and analyze user behavior to improve site performance and conversion.
Analytics and Reporting
- Regularly analyze digital marketing data to measure success and identify areas for improvement.
- Prepare reports for senior leadership, highlighting key insights and actionable recommendations.
Team Leadership
- Manage a team of digital marketers, content creators, and analysts.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive digital and content marketing experience
- Post-Secondary education in in Marketing or Business
- Proven experience in digital marketing, including content creation and campaign analytics
Knowledge & Competencies
- Strong leadership skills and ability to drive cross-functional collaboration
- Deep understanding of SEO, SEM, social media, and content marketing strategy and best practices and how they support a leading digital brand presence
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
- Influencing skills
- Agility and ability to stay updated with the latest digital marketing trends
