  • Organizational Behavior: This course will expose you to approaches and processes that can help in effectively leading and managing others in organizations.

  • Professional Sales:
    This course develops the fundamental knowledge, skills, and attitudes required to be successful in today’s sales environment.

  • Professional Communication:
    The course is designed to strengthen the knowledge of concepts and skills related to writing effective daily correspondence, preparing formal reports and proposals, and giving effective presentations while using correct language for a business context.
  • Marketing Foundations: This course will help to understand the fundamentals of the marketing process.

  • Digital Marketing:
    Topics covered in this course include internet marketing foundations, how search engines work, SEO, paid search marketing, online advertising, landing page optimization, analytics, online PR and ORM, and mobile marketing.

  • Integrated Brand Promotion:
    The goal of this course is to gain an understanding of the core building blocks of integrated marketing communications principles and practices.

These courses will prepare students to:

  • Have the relevant knowledge, perspectives, and practical skills required to develop marketing strategies that influence the opportunities essential in social media and consumer-to-consumer social interactions for achieving business and marketing goals.
  • Understand consumers’ social interactions, examining the various social media channels available to marketers, learning how to build social marketing strategies, and practicing how to track their effectiveness.

We are looking for a qualified college instructor who brings:

  • Dynamic presentation skills, and engaging lesson planning skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines, work independently, resolve problems and make decisions per policies and procedures;
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and oral);
  • Strong English language skills; other languages are an asset;
  • Commitment to excellence and integrity in teaching and learning

Your Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • Have a minimum of 4 years of experience working and/or teaching the subject matter of the course; or
  • Have a minimum of 2 years of experience working and/or teaching the subject matter of the course and hold a degree, diploma or certificate from an accredited university, college or career college.

Digital Coordinator – Timberland Tree

You’ll be a trusted member of our team reporting to Director Sales. You will be responsible for assisting the Marketing Manager and Merchandising Manager with the execution of marketing and online strategies for Timberland to drive traffic to our website and wholesale customers websites. You will need to understand the marketplace and develop key relationships with internal teams to deliver successful results through creative thinking and attention to detail. Strong interpersonal and organization skills are essential for effective coordination, project management, and communication.

How You Will Make a Difference

What you will do:

  • Become a subject matter expert and advocate for digital and omni-channel accounts

  • Always support general content operations by being agile, flexible, and willing to assist other projects and initiatives to help drive the business forward and reach or exceed sales targets

  • Provide standard sales support (to include): item set-up, web site reviews and audits, seasonal maintenance, and ad-hoc reporting

  • Manage and brief creative ideas with internal teams for traffic driving opportunities

  • Manage the wholesale and digital asset requests submissions

  • Work with the merchandising and planning teams for the Timberland.ca website. This includes analyzing sales and inventory, and suggesting ideas accordingly.

  • Partner with the merchandising and planning teams to identify assortment and inventory opportunities based on key E-commerce KPI’s and consumer site behavior

  • Drive navigational changes based on seasonal product and consumer interest and interaction

  • Collaborate on in-season timing of launches, pricing, and end-of-season liquidation strategies

  • Coordinate and work cross-functionally with other teams to track redemption, ROI, key product selling etc.

  • Actively research market trends and competitor analysis for new ideas to implement with our brand.

About The Position:
The Senior Associate, Digital Marketing, is responsible for managing and executing MaRS-led marketing campaigns that support our brand, ventures, partners and ecosystem, as well as leading and demonstrating results of these efforts. Through collaborating with internal and external teams, the Senior Associate, Digital Marketing, develops digital assets, ensures that all deliverables are on brand and writes social media copy to support marketing campaigns. The role also includes exploring creative and experiential marketing tactics to increase MaRS’ brand awareness and reach new audiences in innovative ways. In this role, you must have a firm understanding of design, content marketing and corporate social media best practices.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Digital Marketing:
  • Manage MaRS social media accounts (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube) and engage with members of the community.
  • Produce accurate, well-written and grammatically correct copy for all content channels.
  • Develop marketing plans by working with internal teams and partners to uncover key objectives and audiences for integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Manage various email marketing campaigns, including designing templates, choosing/optimizing images and sending emails to targeted audiences.
  • Review external digital content such as web pages and marketing emails (links, spelling, design, etc.) to ensure they meet corporate standards; fixes errors and verifies fixes, and reports detailed bugs.
  • Use Asana and project management best practices to ensure deliverables are completed on time and within budget.
  • Identify any key issues or risks that impact the meeting of pre-established targets and propose and implement solutions and improvements.
  • Digital Content Development
  • Design assets for MaRS digital channels, including social, email, web, paid ads and video, incorporating best practices and following brand guidelines.
  • Provide art direction to creative agencies, artists and photographers to create best-in-class and on-brand content for MaRS channels.
  • Collaborate with other teammates to support the creation, editing and optimization of content, including selecting appropriate images/videos for websites, blogs, social media platforms, PowerPoint presentations and other MaRS marketing assets as required.

About You:
You are proactively in-the-know about the latest trends in brand marketing, which competitors are doing it best, industry affairs and trends to ensure content is performing its best. You hold a University degree or college diploma/certificate with a focus on digital communications and/or marketing. You have 3 or more years of experience in digital marketing.

  • Understanding and experience of corporate social media and digital campaigns.
