Senior Project Manager – Ontario (Toronto; Vaughan; Mississauga)
Our client, a leader in the construction industry, is currently seeking a Senior Project Manager to join their team in Ontario. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing major construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget. You will also be responsible for managing a team of project managers, engineers, and other staff to ensure successful project execution.
Key responsibilities:
– Leading and managing large construction projects from start to finish, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource management
– Collaborating with clients, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met
– Managing and mentoring a team of project managers, engineers, and other staff
– Ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards
– Developing and maintaining strong client relationships
– Providing regular project updates and reports to senior management
– Identifying opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains
– Ensuring project profitability through effective cost management and resource allocation
Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or related field
– Minimum of 10 years of project management experience in the construction industry
– PMP certification is an asset
– Strong leadership and team management skills
– Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
– Proven track record of successfully delivering large construction projects on time and within budget
– Sound knowledge of construction management software and tools
– Ability to travel as required
