  • Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing learning about earned media, social media and overall marketing trends
  • Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Draft program materials, including key messages, Q&A, fact sheets, press releases and pitches
  • Conduct proactive media relations via phone, email and in-person
  • Develop media lists by researching national news outlets and journalists
  • Conduct influencer relations, including researching talent, managing outreach, contracting, concepting & content development and tracking campaign performance
  • Sourcing, ordering, assembling, and sending out PR packages
  • Research clients and applicable/emerging trends
  • Provide onsite and logistics support for client events (as required)
  • Participate in weekly account calls and provide status updates
  • Administrative and financial tasks (invoicing, cost tracking, monitoring and reporting)

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in communications / marketing and/or 1+ years experience in agency or corporate communications setting
  • Understanding of social media platforms, tools, and social listening services
  • Ability to take initiative, self direct, and adapt to new technologies
  • General understanding of agency process and capabilities
  • Demonstrates ability to fully understand client, business, and industry dynamics – and to track those against social media metrics
  • Proficiency in Google Suite (docs, sheets, slides, forms) or Word, Excel & PowerPoint
  • An interest in learning AI tools to support day-to-day PR activities
  • Ability to be in-office a minimum of two days per week
