Job description: As a Network Lead Organization for the provincially-funded Ontario Structured Psychotherapy (OSP) program, our mandate is to improve access to effective mental health care for Ontarians. Our program has specific objectives for providing culturally safe and competent care to equity-deserving populations. We provide evidence-based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) for adults experiencing Depression, Anxiety Disorders, Obsessive-Compulsive disorder, Posttraumatic Stress disorder (PTSD), and Illness Anxiety Disorder. The program uses measurement-based care to monitor outcomes and inform treatment planning. Clients are offered treatment within a stepped care model that includes lower intensity services (self-administered strategies with support from a coach or therapist) to higher intensity weekly individual or group therapy with an OSP clinician. Psychologists in OSP provide individual or group consultation to program clinicians who are registered mental health providers, deliver CBT training to OSP clinicians province-wide, and participate in the delivery of clinical services (including assessment and individual and/or group intervention).The CBT psychologist will be an experienced psychologist (with outstanding demonstrated skills and abilities in psychotherapy, specifically cognitive behavioural therapy) who will be taking on a primary training and consultation role within the development and implementation of the Ontario Structured Psychotherapy Program.Responsibilities include psychodiagnostic assessment and differential diagnosis, a primary role in the provision of standardised provincial training and provision of CBT consultation to community and hospital-based service providersDuties:
- Participate in the provision of a provincial training curriculum in CBT for the OSP program (in keeping with the Program’s objectives) to community and hospital-based therapists within our region and provincially
- Provide individual and group clinical consultation to registered mental health therapists
- Provide consultation to clinical intake clinicians
- Conduct clinical assessment and diagnostic interviews to determine suitability for the OSP program
- Interpret standardized psychological assessment instruments
- Practice Measurement Based Care (progress monitoring and outcome evaluation) to inform treatment decisions, enhance client outcomes and support quality improvement initiatives

- Participate in Psychology training activities, including teaching and supervision of pre-doctoral clinical Psychology residents and practicum students
- Participate in and provide leadership to OSP research and evaluation projects and take an active role in data collection and developing reports.
- Attend Psychology discipline meetings and participate in discipline activities, as approved by management.
- Demonstrate professional integrity through adherence to college and hospital guidelines for the practice of psychology, including; adherence to the Canadian Code of Ethics for psychologists, adherence to College of Psychologists of Ontario guidelines for registration, professional practice, professional development, supervision, communications and documentation of client contacts, as well as adherence to The Royal’s policies on timely completion of documentation and workload measurement.

Qualifications:
- Doctorate from a CPA/APA Accredited Psychology Program.

- Five years experience post PhD in clinical mental health
