Overview
Visa Commercial Solutions (VCS) is looking for a Director to lead the VCS API Partner Program with the aim to accelerate the growth of VCS products and services by collaborating with fintech solution providers that can enhance the value proposition for Visa issuers and their business customers. VCS API’s a suite of capabilities that enable innovative payment solutions for businesses. VCS is looking for a leader who will be responsible for developing and managing a partner ecosystem that will drive adoption and usage of our APIs across different markets and segments. They will work closely with the product, sales, and service teams to identify and support potential partners who can leverage our APIs to create value-added solutions for their customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in partner management, product, B2B payments, integrations, business payment processing and API products.
The VCS Partner Program will also provide a structured platform that can be deployed across Visa regions to manage the evaluation, certification, and go-to-market support for these partners, as well as differentiate them by highlighting their integration with VCS API and digital capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the strategy and vision for the VCS Partner Program, in alignment with the VCS global and regional objectives and priorities.
- Manage the end-to-end partner lifecycle, from sourcing, screening, onboarding, enabling, marketing, and monitoring the performance and satisfaction of the VCS partners.
- Establish and maintain the partner evaluation criteria, processes, and tools, in collaboration with the VCS global and regional teams, as well as other relevant stakeholders such as legal, risk, security, and compliance.
- Build and maintain the VCS Partner directory, to showcase the VCS partners and their solutions, and to facilitate the discovery and engagement between the VCS partners and the Visa issuers and their business customers.
- Provide ongoing support and guidance to the VCS partners, to ensure they adhere to the VCS standards and requirements, and to help them leverage the Visa brand, products, expertise, and go-to-market resources.
- Manage the VCS Partner Program and KPIs, and report on the program performance, impact, and feedback to the VCS leadership and other internal stakeholders.
- Identify and pursue new opportunities and innovations to enhance the VCS Partner Program value proposition, and to address the evolving needs and expectations of the VCS partners, issuers, and business customers.
- Identify Potential Partners: Research key use cases and potential partner types on an ongoing basis. Document best practices and success stories across regional teams, refine ideal targets based on market presence and customer base.
- Develop a Value Proposition: Create a compelling value proposition for potential partners that articulate the benefits of our APIs and why partner with Visa.
- Support the development of different implementation models for becoming a client/partner that defines a clear onboarding process for new partners by working with the Product Solutioning organization, Service Excellence teams and the regional CS implementation teams.
- Create and launch a Partner Portal and resource site (Sharepoint or external site) where sales or partners can access resources, training materials, and support. Work on an external marketing campaign with our marketing and comms teams to attract additional potential partners in specific regions.
- Monitor and Evaluate the Program: Regularly monitor and evaluate the success of the program. Review individual client/partner performance and key metrics (# issuers they work with, #buyers and payment volumes and value) Gathering feedback from partners, and provide input on our APIs back to the product management side of the organization. Support regional sales and account teams.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications
12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business, marketing, finance, or related field. Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in business payments, fintech, or partner management, with a proven track record of developing and managing successful partner programs and relationships.
Strong knowledge of the business payments ecosystem, trends, challenges, and opportunities, and the ability to translate them into actionable insights and solutions.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
Highly analytical, strategic, and creative thinker, with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
