OVERVIEW

We are searching for a Director of Marketing to join our team on a full-time basis leading the Marketing Department for all of our entities including Wishpond Technologies, Invigo Media, PersistIQ and Brax Technologies. This is a fully remote position and the successful individual could be based anywhere in Canada. Reporting to Senior Leadership, they will lead a global Marketing Team ensuring the recruitment, training and service delivery of our Team Members and our marketing programs are world class. Together with their Team, the Director of Marketing is responsible for the continued success of Wishpond Technologies Ltd.

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Develop branding, corporate identity and marketing plans including promotional calendars and programs, and new product introductions

· Develop and manage marketing budgets, monitoring expenditures closely

· Conduct customer, brand and product research initiatives

· Offer expert advice to develop innovative advertising, public relations, social media and event awareness

· Work with business development and sales teams on brand initiatives

· Recruit, mentor and empower Team Members, developing and implementing training programs to ensure operational excellence

· Work cross-functionally to increase the value we deliver to our clients and improve retention across the client lifecycle

· Work with clients to better understand their business needs and goals, ensuring Wishpond products and services are part of their plan

· Cultivate lasting relationships to grow Team Member and client loyalty

· Communicate new initiatives, following up to ensure processes are upheld and consistent

· Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

· A minimum of 10 years’ experience in Marketing, preferably within a SaaS oriented operation

· A degree or diploma the contributes to the organization is considered an asset

· Strong recruitment, training, leadership and negotiation skills

· In-depth knowledge of marketing strategies and best practices

· Experience in sales is considered an asset

· Capacity to manage global teams and complex projects seamlessly

· Must be detail oriented, creative and have a passion for helping clients and Team Members achieve their goals

· Self-motivated with the ability to establish and maintain solid relationships through a client-first mentality

· As part of a diverse team, ability to work both independently and collaboratively

· Must be technical, analytical, results-driven and have the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

· Organized, great time management and have solid writing, phone, and general communication skills

· Fluent in English (spoken and written). Knowledge of a second language is considered an asset

· Willing to participate in ongoing education and training for the role

About the Role

  • Manage site testing application and execution of testing campaigns on Thomson Reuters web sites to implement the optimization strategy
  • Work with cross-functional team members and partners to generate test ideas along with coordinating and scheduling all testing activities.
  • Manage the testing campaign calendar and results repository.
  • Interpret test results and share insights with marketing partners.
  • Provide innovative recommendations for test campaign ideas based on best practices and analysis.
  • Contribute to customer-driven campaigns that align with business objectives and support the brand.
  • Exercise strong attention to detail and project management skills to execute multiple campaigns simultaneously.

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in marketing or related areas; background in statistics preferred
  • 5+ years’ experience in web/digital marketing; testing & optimization experience preferred
  • Experience working on E-Commerce and/or B2B Digital Sales scenarios
  • Expert technical know-how on one of the commercial multivariate experimentation tool like Adobe Target or Optimizely must (Adobe Target preferred)
  • Knowledge of website analytics tools like Adobe Analytics or Google Analytics is a must (Adobe Analytics preferred)
  • Proven ability to solve problems quickly and think critically and creatively; experience working with agile methodologies preferred
  • Embraces change and is challenged by new ideas; proven track record of demonstrating initiative
  • Strong written and oral communication and collaboration skills; demonstrated working with cross-functional teams
  • Energetic, forward-thinking
