We are currently seeking a Salesforce – Manual QA Tester to join our team in Toronto, Canada.
What will your typical day look like?
The Manual Tester will play a critical role in helping the software delivery team. An individual in this role should be skilled in several software testing approaches and types and should understand how to implement manual testing for salesforce, to ensure that new and existing software functions correctly and as desired. As a Manual Tester, you are supported by a fantastic team, and will have the opportunity to help solve some of the most significant challenges that our clients face.

The Health Connect Product team is a dedicated set of professionals focused on accelerating customer outcomes by combining innovative products, solutions, and integrated services. It is constructed of market-ready products and solutions, commercial-grade technology assets, and a diverse ecosystem of specialized services and capabilities.
As a Health Connect Manual QA Tester, you will be aligned with our product. You will work with the Health Connect solution, a Digital Health solution built on Salesforce and AWS. The Health Connect solution has sub-offerings for Cancer Screening, Telehealth, Homecare and COVID-19 Recovery, and is designed to enable rapid deployment and scaling for our customers.

Enough about us, let’s talk about you
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing or equivalent field.
- 1-3 years of software testing experience.
- Automation testing skill set using Python is an added advantage
- Strong understanding of large IT Project Management, Integration and/or Business Application QA Testing.
- Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and ability to apply an Agile Methodology
- Industry knowledge in Health care (specifically cancer screening) or public sector is an advantage
- Good background in writing System and end to end test cases
- Beginner level experience with Selenium or other automation testing tools is an added advantage
- Knowledge of Salesforce is required for working with some of our products and solutions
- Experience working with Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness to travel
Detailed Job Description:
- Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and clients in a timely and clear fashion.
- Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
- Document defects and test scripts in JIRA and help debug and diagnose code issues in multiple environments.
- Defect management & triage
- Find and write up clear and easy to understand defects, including screenshots.
- Participate in the Agile team ceremonies, including Sprint Planning and daily standups.
- Contribute to the development of test cases as needed
- Think outside the box to identify needed areas of testing
- Work with the QA leads to understand product requirements, design and implement test plans, and work with Development to validate the test plans.
- Demonstrated critical thinking skills (e.g. proactively reporting observations when things don’t look right even if the tested requirement has passed)
- Ability to work independently without direction and help provide direction to Test Lead when needed as it relates to QA discoveries
- Attention to detail with superior written, verbal, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong capacity for operating in a flexible, dynamic environment where creative and strategic thinking is required.
- Ability to multi-task is essential
Additional Qualifications (nice to have):
- Automation Testing experience using Selenium (with Python/Java)
- Salesforce (Lightning) testing experience
- Experience conducting UAT with external clients
- 1+ years of consulting experience
