The Position
An opportunity for an individual passionate about digital communications and new media to work with a leading international NGO. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Digital Communications, you will be responsible for analyzing a variety of public-facing online campaigns and web initiatives to help fulfill the organization’s overall strategy. This role is for a Digital Analyst Specialist with intermediate experience using Google Analytics. You should be comfortable pulling, analyzing and presenting the data, results and recommendations to report on and improve numerous digital marketing campaigns and Plan Canada web properties.
What success looks like?
- The go to person for determining the measurement strategy to determine the performance of digital assets – digital advertising and websites.
- You will be the subject matter expert on digital metrics and help stakeholders align on the metrics that will map to their program KPIs.
- You have the ability to look beyond the number, using various tools like Google Analytics, heat maps and social listening tools to distill actionable insights for internal stakeholders.
- You have developed a set of reports in GA4 to measure and analyze various e-commerce, engagement, and user behaviours across a number of program initiatives.
- You have developed a scorecard to measure web performance and establish required updates to increase traffic, conversions, and overall performance of the PlanCanada.ca site.
- You have built interactive dashboards on Google Data Studio pulling from live data on GA4 to inform stakeholders of results and optimization opportunities.
- You can report on the website’s SEO performance by looking at organic metrics over time, identifying strong performers as well as opportunities for improvement.
- You will maintain liaison with an external agency who provides support on some of the technical implementation of GA4, bridging the gap between business need and agency execution.
As our ideal candidate you will have:
- Experience analyzing data – you have the ability to dive into Google Universal Analytics and GA4 reports to find various e-commerce, engagement and user behaviour metrics.
- Experience setting up and analyzing audience segments, user journeys and goal funnels in Google Analytics.
- Experience creating easy-to-use Data Studio reports for internal stakeholders
- Intermediate understanding of Google Tag Manager and can support testing/maintenance of custom events and e-commerce events.
- Intermediate understanding of UX best practices
- Intermediate understanding of technical and on-page SEO best practices.
- Experience supporting and measuring AB testing on digital platforms.
