POSITION FUNCTION
The Marketing & Communications Specialist is a content creator that supports both our corporate / brand marketing efforts and our study and trial specific campaigns. This role is responsible for a wide variety of content creation and tactical execution activities including, but not limited to, advertising, blogs, community outreach, direct mail, email, event marketing, merchandising, public relations, social media, and website. Part of our internal creative team this individual must demonstrate the ability to create well-conceptualized communications materials that advance the company’s mission, core values, and clinical research services in a manner that attracts and inspires employees, sponsors, and volunteers to work with us. He/she must be able to work both collaboratively, gathering input from multiple stakeholders, and in a self-directed manner to contribute ideas, write and design a wide variety of content for both internal and external audiences. Due to the international presence of our business throughout the U.S. and Canada materials will need to be developed to support multiple languages including English, French, and Spanish. The individual does not have to be fluent in all languages but must be able to work with internal staff or external partners to manage translations.
This position reports to multiple Marketing Managers who oversee our Corporate (Brand) and Study (Trial) campaign plans and tactical implementation.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Plan and prepare a variety of tactical communications materials to support paid, earned, and owned media for both corporate and study specific campaigns.
Graphic design, copywriting, photography, illustration, video, and audio production.
Maintain and manage social media guidelines, content calendars, posts and engagement. Where and when necessary, perform reputation management.
Design and distribute e-newsletters for patients and staff members.
Write, edit, publish, and promote our blog articles and content to support SEO.
Create business collateral and promotional materials including capabilities decks, sell sheets, merchandising, apparel, flyers, signage, and other items used by local offices or at events.
Prepare photography, artwork, videos, illustration, or other assets for use online in our website(s).
Build our graphic design assets to maintain our corporate brand identity guidelines.
Maintain our content asset management folders and files, including subscriptions to various services for video, photography, illustration, artwork, sound, fonts, and other design elements.
Work cross-functionally across departments (BD, patient engagement, HR, leadership, etc.) to gather information and input to complete projects.
Use designated project management platforms to track projects, tasks and all input required to ensure creative assets are delivered on time and within budget.
Load or distribute creative materials and campaign assets to appropriate platforms such as Facebook Ad Manager, Google Ads, TV, Radio, Newspaper, Sponsorship or other media.
Ensure online work using Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics for track performance at both the campaign and tactic levels.
Ability to use CMS platform to make basic updates to website and landing pages (no complex coding).
Conduct market and competitive research to examine the campaigns and tactics of other brands.
Ensure information security as mandated by HIPAA and other applicable regulations and policies
Measure, analyze and report performance of campaigns and initiatives
Perform other duties as assigned
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree, Marketing, Communications, or related field. Art or Graphic design preferred.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role with a portfolio of creative materials to review.
A demonstrated track record producing effective and high-quality marketing materials.

Prerequisite (Essential):
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Teams, Excel and more.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, video and photo editing capabilities required.
Experience using content management platforms
Experience using email marketing platforms such as Mailchimp.
Experience using Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, Google Data Studio, Facebook Ad Manager and other digital tools.
Able to manage multiple projects and prioritize competing deadlines
Familiarity with HIPAA, FDA, and IRB regulatory compliance a plus
Self-directed and able to work without supervision
